This community is absolutely terrible. I was playing slayer on countdown. I picked up the DMR, but some guy AR’d me and threw a grenade. He then proceeded to pick up my DMR. This was all 3 seconds into the game.
I know people will say, don’t play with randoms, but sometimes you just don’t have people to play with.
Oh ya, I didn’t even get to boot him. I think inn the first 10 seconds of the game, you should get to boot if you get betrayed. I don’t know how you could do it by accident off spawn.
I am pretty sure he didn’t betray you for the DMR. There are 3 DMR very close to both spawns on Countdown. Maybe he was mad that you picked AR starts or something you said made him mad.

I voted for none of the above in hopes of getting zero bloom or slayer dmrs. How could he have known what I voted for??
If it wasn’t for the DMR, then the only other reason is that he’s an -Yoink-.

Yoink player is yoink.
And I LIKE AR starts, because with DMR starts you can’t grab an AR. More weapon variety = more interesting gameplay.

I feel for you, I hate some of the people in the community too. I have been betrayed so many times, most of them for a griefer’s enjoyment.

In actuality the DMR provides the most “variety” of gameplay. It is the most versatile weapon, with the most utility and effectiveness in the most situations. While the majority of the other non-power weapons have 1 way to use them: Hold Trigger, Melee, Become 1 shot, Die. Obviously this is an exaggeration, but if you really think about it the can DMR handle more situations than all of the other non-power weapons combined. Just saying.
OT: Maybe he was just mad that AR starts got picked and took his anger out on you. I think it’s safe to assume that you would have many more deaths that game, and seeing as it’s social that most likely didn’t cost you the game. Brush it off man. Just because he has to be childish and take out his frustration on fellow community members doesn’t mean you need to be bothered by it or retaliate. Just saying, aswell.

With respect, I dunno, man. Ever try to use that DMR at close range against an AR? The AR is a meat grinder if you’re close enough. It seems to me that by having a DMR start you’re reducing variety because you’ve removed the option of using an AR.
May sound ridiculous, but DMR starts should swap out the on-map DMRs (on AR starts) with ARs, just so you have the choice to grab one if you want it!
It’s your fault for going into Matchmaking alone. It pains me to say it, but nobody can hold your hand when random people are matched with you. It’s a risk that everybody should be well aware of when searching Matchmaking solo. Simply playing with a team or even with your friends will solve the betrayal problem.
Casual game mechanics breed a terrible game community. Many of the Halo community’s more mature players ditched soon after Reach’s release. I seriously doubt that stuff like this would happen so regularly – if at all – if the Reach community’s maturity was anywhere close to that of Halo 3.

I’ve never been betrayed for something that wasn’t the sniper.
Yeah, the Communtiy in Reach sucks. I used to be able to play all BRs in Halo 3, but in Reach, I never get a good Team DMRs, everyone votes for ARs on stupid maps, then end up quiting because they dont get their way

The community you are referring to is the internet. There will never be a standard of maturity on the internet.

I hope you are being sarcastic. The same thing happened in Halo 3. There were times I was betrayed over picking up a plasma grenade.
