So I was trying to be a nice guy and was helping two new players with their settings; like changing enemy colors ect. Well at the end everyone has zero kills, and I ended the game. My ‘Teammate’ and I got banned for 10 mins for “unsporting behavior” and the guy who was on the other team didnt get banned.
Like, i get it for MATCHMAKING, but for a custom game? Has anyone else had this issue? Im surprised im even having this conversation…
I’m sure it’s a mistake but 343i is very incompitent(like my grammer an spelling lol). Plus Slipspace engine is garbage, the Atari “ET:The Extraterestrial” of engines. I mean UE5 is right there, just use it.
It was only a 10 minute ban, and my first offense, but i made a ticket to try to appel it or at least bring it to the attention of the devs. I wish they would have a “Test Mode” or something if theyre gonna be this strict on banning people.
If its a custome game i really dont see the need to ban people, we could just kick someone if they are an issue.
I guess its just another thing to put on the pile of stuff they need to fix.

I assume if anyone else had this they might have not been a dedicated halo player and probably just stopped trying to play the game at all.
Guess this has flown under the radar for 6 months and even during flights probably.
I totally agree, i was doing research on what people have been banned for and apparently someone got banned for only playing bot boot camps. Idk how true that is but im starting to miss the days when it was difficult to get banned.
Im really hoping to get my support ticket replied to so i can at least get the ban removed from my account. If its this easy to get banned i dont want them to accumulate otherwise ill never be able to play at this rate if its this easy
You can get banned for leaving bot camps but for play exclusively??? Never heard of that.
Yeah thats the best course of action, besides screaming on Twitter.

The reason I suspect was he was killing bots too fast as he explains:
Fastest way to get exp after you’re done with weeklies + I like getting medal/announcer spam by killing bots really fast.
I have seen this myself and it’s not actually fun being in a match with people destroying bots that you don’t even get a chance. You just run around looking for something to kill but there is nothing. So either their anticheat or someone reported them.
Umm your saying you got banned in a “CUSTOM GAME??” I have ran alot of Custom Games and have “NEVER” got banned on my H.I. server. I know the Custom Games Area is all screwed up but I have never seen or heard of anybody getting banned in a Custom Game until now. I would like to learn more about this issue.
If you have the steam version I would goto steam and validate your game files!!

I have not seen any documentation on how you can ban, kick, or move user’s “>IN GAME!<” in Halo Infinite. when hosting a game. I hope these options are in Halo Infinite. If NOT when hosting a game in the Custom Games Area is not going to be worth a crap if you can’t kick or ban morons on your server!

That is why you need to able to kick and ban morons off your server!

I got banned for a custom game on the Azure server. I posted about it in the other thread:

OK I went to check your links. I can understand why you got “KICKED” if you were idle for 5 mins. that great! You should get kicked for being idle cuz your tying up a slot that someone else could use, but if you were “BANNED” for being idle for 5 mins now that is just FREAKIN WRONG PERIOD! THAT’S IS BS if that is what really happened! That is a serious issue that needs to get fixed ASAP! if that is true!
Side Note:
I just ran a stock game mode of BTB:CTF and map Breaker with bots, set the game for 15 mins and I was idle the whole time the and I was not “KICK!” or “BANNED!” from my sever, thou the Admin/Host maybe exempt from getting kicked or banned from their own server like on my BF2042 server.

Not kicked but banned. I tested again, idle for 4 minutes this time, and banned again. The ban seems to be longer this time too.
He got banned from the game, not a server…
I am really trying to understand this ok?, Well you only have 3 options under server in Custom Games:
WOW! if you wern’t on eaither #2 Or #3. Then that gives me the impressions
You “MAY” have an issue with the Authorization key to the game
You “MAY” have issue with your virus proggies not sure
Or You have have to delete the game and do a complete re-install of the game as much as that would suck 
I don’t understand how a game can ban you when you local. It make no logical sense all or it could me a mod your trying to use? Who Knows? Just one more time - - What is the exact statement why you were banned from a game,

This literally just happened to me and its funny I stumbled upon this recent post. I was in a FFA custom game and was AFK reading my emails and then when I came back, the game was over and I’m banned from matchmaking. How did you get this fixed?
