Is 343 increasing the rank cap?

I just got a message from live saying I have not redeemed my specializations token. They even sent me the code! This is odd since I have a rank of 117 (no pun intended) and got one specialization to go after tracker.
The other thing is I bought the LE copy so I already had access to the content.

Any input before I redeem this code would be helpful thanks!

If you redeem the code, it’ll be worthless seeing as you’ve already surpassed SR70 and have all Specializations already.

I suggest giving it to a friend who isn’t eligible to receive one.
