I got a copy here in the Netherlands but cant start start the game when im connected to internet. If im offline on my Xbox One i can start the campaign only.
But how come i cant start multiplayer. When will the servers open. Its pretty f*ckedup if youtubers, reviewers can play the game but some of us cant because a retailer sold the game early.
The game doesn’t officially launch until 12:01am 10/27 Eastern Time (US). Certain people in the streaming/media communities are able to play to do reviews and promote the game generally to the public. The retail discs were released early so you could install and download the patch and be 100% ready day 1 as soon as you are able to connect in your local time zone.

It’s quite simple really… Reviewers are given early access to review. Your account does not have that privilege and you’ve got a copy of the game before it officially releases to the public. I doubt all their servers are even ready for the demand they’ll be getting on launch, so there is another reason.

Which retailer gave this out early?

Just a gameshop here in NL. I asked how come they are selling the game early and they said there is no contract with Microsoft.
You can guess why, the game can only played offline till release date,

If they have been given copies to sell, I imagine there must be some kind of contract between the 2 of them. That being the case, they can be fined pretty severly for breaking street date
It baffles me that there are so many people out there in the world who cant seem to understand or interpret this: 2015-10-27. I’m flabbergasted. Perplexed even.

Your half right about that but if the release date is 27 october why can some reviewers/youtubers play the game?
Thats what most people ask here, we all know the release date is in few days… Its just unfair for people who pre-ordered long time ago and see some -Yoink- reviewer enjoy the game!

Because they are reviewing the game and also promoting it? Happens to every game?

Just unplug your internet cable and turn off your xbox wifi and then you can play the campaign.
I think the achievements wont work tough.

This isn’t the first game to do this, and this isn’t the only medium to do this either. This happens in every industry. The general population sits and waits while the reviewers and critics (who are doing their job and not necessarily just playing for fun) get early access to content so they can provide a review or rating and let the general population know if it’s worth buying.
Its the new very cost-effective form of viral marketing and its quite genius. Give the game to YouTube personalities, review sites, magazines etc., they play the game and post streams and videos and people like us, chomping at the bit to play or on the fence whether to get it or not, spend the week or more up to launch salivating over their footage (as I know I have) and getting more and more excited, telling my friends to check out said footage which in turn gets them pumped for it, etc.
This started awhile back now in the industry and as it costs the developer pennies on the grand scheme of things in regards to the lost revenue of those lucky few who now do not have to go and buy a copy, this trend is here to stay.
It actually makes me want to start streaming and making gameplay captures so maybe developer start sending me free stuff

^^^
The reviewers have entered a code that was provided by 343 to enter on xbl store to unlock multiplayer ‘reviewing’ features.
that is the “why”.
