Gosh, these waiting times are mighty long.
I haven’t played this game for 2 years, and yet it is still just as long of a wait to play a game. I was hoping it would have improved.
I wish you could change the FOV as well.

Have you tried a hard reset of your console? I don’t experience long wait times usually. Also which search preferance are you using? If it’s focused then yeah it may take a bit longer. I use balanced most of the time. Or if you faster try expanded.

Yeah, man. Tried all that. It’s just very slow.
I don’ know why 343 decided to seperate the lobby after every game either.
Unless H5 has gotten more popular in two years, I wouldn’t expect the wait times to get shorter. Do you live outside the U.S.? That could be why the long times even back then, but if you don’t, then I’m not sure. The only other reason I can think of for long wait times back then was because of really high ranks/MMR, but that wouldn’t apply to you on that account.
For your comment, the wait times have gotten longer most likely due to low population and tweaks to the matching system that Dr. Menke implemented so Social games are more fair (I noticed you played BTB).
