Should H4 get gory with deaths? For example: Bodies exploding with grenades.
I see no reason why it should.
that would be stupid. I like gears of war for gameplay, but the gore is too much sometimes. I honestly hope halo has no more blood/gore than it always has had.
No. Halo really doesn’t need that and the game wouldn’t benefit from it at all.
Besides MJOLNIR armour is practically indestructible.
nope, no lame gimmicks should be keeping 343 from making a good game.
Eh, I prefer my enemy’s corpse to spiral through the air when I blow him up rather than simply gib. It’s more comical and satisfying.

I agree with this post
Yes to Halo 1 Goryness
No to GoW goryness…

This.
Sure why not.
Halo is a story about a genocidal war and those generally are not pretty. I would like the maturity in the visuals to be at least as close to the descriptions in the novels. Some loss of limb, realistic burns and bullet wounds but not over the top like Gears.

If it must be done, do it for a reason, not just because you want body parts flying across the map.
They could make some of the deaths look a little more realistic and if that means more gore then whatever. I see no huge need for it though.

Yes, I agree. I never said that I wanted “Body parts to fly across” anything. But how am I supposed to believe plasma kills when it does no visual damage what so ever? or bullets never actually pierce armor? That kind of damage is part of the story and is reason enough to at least have the visual representation and interactive version of the universe reflect that.

I’d almost imagine that if it was possible to do something like that they would have done it by now.

that my friend would be halarious!

As hilarious as it would be to be splattered by a leg flying from across the map, gore and such like that isn’t really needed.

Possibly, but I always felt that Bungie became more and more conservative with each instalment in the franchise. If they wanted to add a bitmap of a wound or burn, or have physical model damage like that of the flood, they would have. Bungie obviously chose not to have those features.

Who knows. Maybe they experimented with it but it proved laggy. You can’t just come out of the blue and claim they chose not to do it.
