Gore in Halo 5.

I would personally love to see gore added into Halo 5. For example -

Heads getting blown off by sniper headshots. (Not normal headshots)

A hole in a spartans chest when he gets killed by a shotgun at close range.

Nothing to extreme really, just a few simple things like that. I’m not looking for Gears of War style gore here.

Thoughts?

The day that spartans get their heads decapitated is the day I officially lose 100% of my faith in the Halo series.

Halo has always managed to stay violent, yet classy. A couple blood splatters here and there, blood falling out of spartans, and flood decapitations are all Halo needs.

Nothing too extreme… because heads being blown off by a sniper is just no big deal :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t care too much for gore, it doesn’t really matter to me in all honesty.

No thank you. Halo is not a hyper-realistic shooter. I like it how it is just fine.

This is basically your idea in practice, isn’t it?

I don’t think gore would suit Halo very well. Halo already has a good amount of blood.

Oh man, I remember this series! I’m disappointed it just kind of ended.

OP: I don’t really want gore. Realistic as it may be, gore has never really been “Halo” to me. Plus, it isn’t really a necessity in the long run. I’d rather 343 spent more time on other parts of multiplayer than designing 80+ different bits of Spartan/Elite pieces to be textured.

I would only want any of it in assassinations. An extra dramatic beheading every once in a while I don’t think would hurt if it was a sword assassination, but otherwise, just body wounds like holes, dents, and cracks.

Full on gore lkke Dead Space? No thanks.

The Occasional bit if Blood? Not a problem.

Flood? Gruesome but not Gorey.

I’m alone with this, but I’d really like some gore in halo. Probably because i love realistic animations.
I don’t think a SIV helmet would explode by a Sniper headshot, but there would definitely be a cracked visor…, on the other hand being blown off by a bazooka in close range unshielded could/should get messy.

Absolutely no. Halo never had gore and will never have.

I find it funny how these sorts of threads pop up in just about any franchise that hasn’t have gratuitous levels of gore.

I would really prefer if gore stayed out of Halo. Although I must say it would make a good easter egg. If there was one Elite hidden somewhere in the campaign that was completely… umm… destructible?? But for general gameplay I say no.

Gore? No.

A little more blood? Yes.

Halo’s blood and gore levels are fine, and really don’t need any tweaking. Gore for the sake of gore is not what Halo needs, and would not work in Halo, in my opinion.

Not really, though don’t care much either way.

while i don’t think Halo needs gore,
i seriously think that at least the blood-level
could rise again a little, like it was in previous installments.

not necessarily in the MP, but at least in campaign.
i just can’t get used to it to shoot an elite with
a pumpgun & not even a drop of blood leaves its body.

what i’m saying is, it’s organs have to fly around
& paint the walls purple, i just want to see a visible
difference if i shoot something with a magnum or a
pumpgun or a sniper.

Halo is fine how it is.

In CE you could paint the walls blue and purple by beating the pulp out of a dead enemies. It wasn’t super realistic and don’t think we need quite that amount but the levels could rise again.
