Google Release Date

Just googled Halo Infinite to see if I missed any updates, and there’s a count down to “Release on November 15th”.

Anyone else notice this, and is it some kind of glitch? The official date is December 8th.

Likely an error with Google. November 15, 2021 is the 20 year anniversary for Halo: CE. That’s also the date the Halo Infinite Series X launches - perhaps that’s where the disconnect is.

Unless you hear or see anything from 343i themselves, take whatever information you see or hear regarding a release date with a pinch of salt. Had the release date been moved up by a couple of weeks it would have been huge news.

This most like stems from the Long Standing rumors prior to the official Dec 8. release data being announced that the game would launch on the 20th Anniversary of Halo Combat Evolved and the Original Xbox. The December 8th date is the official date as published by 343i. Should this change we would know by now as they will not shadow release the full retail game, too many people take time off of work or plan time around games like Halo or Call of Duty releases for them to move up the data less than 30 days before the expected launch. I do think however we will see all kinds of media and new releases regarding Halo Infinite on November 15th during the 20th Anniversary of Xbox Celebration which starts at 10 AM EST on the Official Xbox Twitch and YouTube Channels.

It’s likely the rumor that Nov. 15th was the release date and no one has gone out of their way to update it.

Yep, not sure where this is being pulled from but the release date is December 8th

There was a “early access” bundle that was found last week. Maybe there will be early access a week from today? Xbox/Microsoft are planning a special 20th Anniversary stream on Monday.

I just tried it and it’s showing December 8th, 2021 for me.

I think this is a really good lesson though. That sort of quick view on Google is not something you should rely on. I understand caring about it as a fan, I mean that sincerely, but my advice to anyone and everyone is to put no stock on it. That information is presented without the context of the source. It strips away information that you can use to determine if the information is good. Do not ever use that blurb box to make a final decision. It cannot be trusted. It’s purely a middleman.
