Goofy moments caused by Halo

So, this is a thread were you can share any funny, goofy or stupid moment or something you did that is related to Halo.

Has an example I will tell my moment:

So my brother and I had gotten the digital version of the MCC for Christmas, My brother entered the code for the game though his account. I could not wait to play Halo 5 beta, But there was something I had to do I had to watch Halo nightfall so I could get my beloved ODST helmet that I had worn in all Halos, But there was one problem…
BUY HALO. After trying many tricks that did not work, I finally lost it and bought a second MCC, a physical copy of the game.

Yep, I wasted $60 on one little helmet for Halo 5 beta. While ,my brother says it was dumb, I disagreed do to my love for the helmet.

Later the digital stopped working for unknown reasons, so… the copy I got finally had come in handy!!!

This is meant to be fun. Please do not say things like “My stupid moment was when I bought Halo 4” or “when I bought MCC”, this seems to cause arguments to irrupt, and I do not want that.

My first ever attempt with my friends in LASO, so fun, we were there for hours and were almost done…

…until I lagged out ;(

Making a base in Halo Reach forge and filling the outside with explosives. I told my brother to try to grab the falcon on top of the base, while i jumped out of it, shot one of the barrels and they all started exploding in succesion. They ended in the falcon and my brother died. He didn’t even notice the explosives even though we were in splitscreen.

OH GOD, this. Same exact thing happened to me, except in Reach. Because there were a series of weekly (or was it monthly?) challenges that paid large amounts of credits for completing the campaign LASO, three of my friends and I worked our way through the levels.

Second to last mission (The Package was it?), at the final stage, I had spent 25 minutes almost successfully boarding a Wraith, when I lagged out. After three hours of gameplay.

I was actually in reach when I first attempted LASO, and it’s because of the weekly challenges as you said. I think the mission I was on was tip of the spear, I lagged out on the falcon turret section. It really sucks when that happens, especially since in my case they didn’t lag out and kept going until the end, while I was there, essentially amounting to the party chat being
“Hey, we’re sorry about the-”
“Yeah, no, it’s eh, it’s great-it’s fine.”
After twenty minutes of matchmaking I was like “Are you almost done yet?”
“drive up there, get out, we gotta run around the walls to-…Did you say something luigi?”
“No, no, never mind,”
“Hey we’re done!”
“Oh yeah, that’s great, congratulations on my frickin-uh… what do we do now?:(”
The salt and sadness were battling it out that day.

  1. During a Halo 2 LAN, my supposedly good at halo friend Jack was getting so annoyed at another friend Darryl (poor at halo) for constantly killing him with a rocket launcher so threw his controller, ran down stairs and beat the -Yoink- out of him.

  2. My and a mate threw a party with Mad Capsule Markets ‘Pulse’ when the flood froze during the checkpoint in the original Halo on Two Betrayals…

Recreating Agent Washington’s training tunnel on Exile of Halo 4…I laughed a lot when I send people inside…in the end they would die becaus of the explosive mines all over the exit.

  • I was playing Team Snipers in Halo 4. I remember the first kill of that game was me stealthily assassinating someone. Later, that someone became the best player on the team. In the final few seconds of the game, one more kill and we win, I saw surveying the area with his back to me. I was all like, “Perfect! Begin and end the game with an assassination on the same guy.” So I Sprinted after him. The -Yoinkhole- Sprinted away on his own accord. So we chased each other without him knowing I was chasing him. He stopped for a moment. I tried to make up the distance, but smacked into an object for the .5 seconds it took to recharge his Sprint. He still hadn’t seen me, and kept going. I Sprinted after him, literally inches behind him. Then he turned around for the briefest second. I died. My teammate got the final kill on someone else. I was all like -- and then I was all like “Actually, that’s fails of the weak material!” I forgot to save it on my file share. I was all like -- again. I suck at Halo- Trying to play Reach at 3:00 am. I got into one game and my entire team left me in a 1 v 4 match. I died a lot. Later, I was teamed with the guys I was fighting. They left, too. Whilst I fought alongside my enemies in the previous game - they left too! I finally said “screw it” and turned off my Xbox. I suck at life.- Forging with an irl friend in Sandtrap on 3, and suddenly realizing random dudes from my friend’s list had joined, unannounced. My friend and I piled all the respawn points in one place and took turns flipping the Elephant on it whenever they respawned. I suck at being a friend.- Playing 4. Getting a friend request from someone on the other team. Seeing them with their back turned. Somehow getting the most brutal assassination animation in the game. Declining their friend request one second later. I suck at making friends.

My friend and I would play Reach Firefight on the Corvette Map and it was almost hilarious how much I OWNED him the entire match. He was too easy to spot because he had really bright-coloured armor and had the flaming helmet. I kept assassinating him.

Me and my friend were playing Halo 4 Legendary Xbox Live co-op when we both got glitched into one of the platforms. It was on that level with all the platforms inside Requiem, and it was the same part of the level where you get the achievement for leading a Hunter off of the platforms. I got stuck inside the platform by accidentally jet-packing in from the sides, and my friend died and spawned on me before I could kill myself and we got a checkpoint while we were both trapped in the platform. We spent 30 minutes desperately trying to jetpack and grenade jump out until I finally pulled through and almost got butt tucked by a Gold Elite. I survived, and my friend almost cried when he heard my panicked rape-scream.

I remember playing a FFA game on a forge map in Reach with a couple of my friends, and I kept assassinating my best friend selectively. He eventually got pissed and called me Ebola-man because I was sick that day. I don’t regret my actions.

In Reach, me and my friend would always camp together in Infection, and whenever we were about to get overwhelmed, we would betray each other and respawn. We were jerks to play against.
