When Halo Reach was in its prime, there was a community event for a father and his daughter. In the man’s blog post; which I cannot find, he tells his story about his ill daughter. She listens to him play Reach every night before she falls asleep. The girl’s father remixed Reach’s soundtrack to include combat sound effects. (explosions, gunfire, etc.) The remix, titled “Goodnight, Marissa” was released as a download to raise awareness for the daughter’s illness. Since the split of Bungie / 343 Industries, no results can be found in an online search. Can anyone help me find this? It means a lot to me and I’d like to find it once more. Thank you.
I found mention of Marissa in this old Community Update, but the linked blog doesn’t exist anymore and sadly it doesn’t seem to have been picked up on the web archive: http://halo.bungie.net/news/content.aspx?type=topnews&cid=16271
This is quite something I was expecting the typical fake sob story garble. Definitely gonna do a bit of digging on this.
This sounds incredible. Can anyone who find something please post here?
