The badges don’t matter to me as much as losing EVERY post. That and my old rank, I was trying to level it up lol

A whole bunch of Halo related profile pictures to choose from would be a really nice addition to the forums here, just like the old site had, but better ones. I honestly only liked two of them, the orange Grunt and the one where Cortana looked like she was going super saiyan.

I’ll echo the opinion that this format is much better than the old format, but man will I miss the old badges. Seeing my Community Member of the Week and Write On badges reminded me of good times on this website whenever I saw them

I was trying so hard to level up my old account, I really hope there is some kind of compensation to that.

I don’t think that is going to happen, nor do I expect it or want it. New forms of recognition will come about, and one of the monitors explained it best. People won’t be using the forums just for a rank or title, but rather because they desire to interact with other community members. I just hope some badges or things come back like the ones for getting into Community Spotlights. Stuff like that always felt super cool to get since it Essentially requires community activity.

I don’t understand how this new Forum works, the design is odd as well…very confusing to me, Badges gone, maybe I’m to old with my 32 years to like it. And while I’m typing this i have the same text on the right? What’s that good for?

The bit on the right is a preview of how you post will appear once you’ve posted it.
Try this: click to reply, then click the ‘quote whole post’ button (the one that looks like a speech bubble. Now compare what you see in the left bit where you type and the display to the right.
I do hope the badges have just been redesigned and obtainable in a different way, it would be cool to have a legacy badge for people who have been on the forums since before the update or even Bungie days.

What a bygone era that is now, it is very similar but it should not be something to be afraid of this change is a good one and its experimental from what I can see. Snickerdoodle and staff have been very receptive to ideas and informing us that not all is lost, just have yet to transition to this iteration of Waypoint.

I miss the personalization/ Spartan Bio it was fun to pop around to different players and see what they did with it.
