Well, this will probably get buried and nothing will change at 343, so that’s okay I guess. I just felt like taking a token stand.
While I definitely understand that online multiplayer servers had to be shut down for legacy titles at some point, I’m really unsatisfied with the sweeping cuts to our Service Records. As crazy as it might sound, my favorite Halo titles were Spartan Assault/Strike and Wars 2. I was proud of my Service Record in those games and was happy to see them online.
So, it feels like a slap in the face for me and a lot of fans to have 343 just cut support. You’d think one or two guys could get paid to maintain the Records, but no. They really just can’t be bothered because the Infinite battle pass money motherlode is coming up.
I’ll still be playing my old favorites, rather than Infinite. The new Waypoint interface is pretty slick imho. See you around, legacy support.

I am sad to see these old legacy records gone in an official capacity - but I will say 343i did give some heads up that information may or may not be available once the new site launched and we should work on archiving our own data personally if we wanted to make sure we had access to it.

The timing is unfortunate for me… I decided to go for the 100% completion in Spartan Assault a few days ago and now there’s no way to see my stats on here. Welp there goes that haha

Thanks guys for the input. Sorry that it’s listing you SWARL3Y5. This is really wierd. I mean, I guess web development is hard but you’d think they would have made the site more stable than this.

Right there with you, hope they bring it back and the Halo Gamerscore too.
To be honest, just build a system of capturing images or whatever when a new game or new season is starting. The service record thing is always a tough one because numerous games will let those things go, but if you are interested in it? You should just save images and keep the memories.
I do this currently with Destiny 2 and it’s actually nice to know I won’t lose them when a new season starts up, but I want to see a funny moment or really hard medal count I got from last season.
