I know many people who use to play Halo 3 and sucked at it, the only reason they played it was because it was ‘The game’ to play on live, when COD 4 came along they all moved over to it.
COD is easy, COD is mainstream, COD is ‘The game’ to play now.
Those who stuck around playing Halo like Halo for what it is, same with those who play Halo 4. The game might not have the numbers it use to have, but it is FAR from dead.

Halos population is going down every day because its not a competitive game at all. Its just a bunch of random nonsence with no way for anyone to get any sort of feeling of acomplishment.
All the maps it H3 were better to. I loved ratsnest standoff sandbox and even sandtrap played better than vortex or meltdown. The new h4 maps just feel clustered.
The weapons are almost all 1 shot kill weapons even the vehicals are 1 shot kill. How can anyone get that (i out BRed you feeling) when its all 1 shot 1 kill.
Then there are the abilities mods and power ups that are BLOWN out of preportion. I find myself using camo or regen every ten seconds. Basically every single time im in a dmr fight everyone uses a power up. its not a dmr or br fight anymore its a camo or regen or jetpack fight.

I have noticed that while you say halo is dead you have refrained from out right stating cod is the better game…is it because you dont know of a game that is THE game to play right now? all you say is cod stole 80%(where you got that number i have no idea because the gaming population is always increasing because kids are being born everyday and i doubt there was a study done to get that number) of halo’s population. Why just halo’s? Is it not possible that there are former halo players who moved to battlefield? or maybe assassins creed? or perhaps they saw sc2 and decided to go the pc route. or maybe some of those gamers moved to cod. A true gamer does not lump themself into one game. They play different games because they appreciate the work put into them. I enjoy halo, assassins creed, elder scrolls, mario, starcraft, minesweeper, supersmash, gta. You are obviously a troll or a cod fanboy so i say good day
