I was trying to get the Good Samaritan achievement for not killing any engineers and I didn’t but when I check the achievements it says that Naughty Naughty where you kill 10 engineers is at 3/10.
I thought that it only counted killing or not killing engineers when playing as Rookie on the streets missions. Is that right? I know I didn’t kill any engineers as Rookie. Does it count engineers killed when you are another ODST member on the daytime missions? I don’t remember seeing any engineers during the day missions but it would be really easy to accidently kill them with a Scorpion or rocket launcher without knowing it if they count.
Does anybody know?

Just to make sure, you’re playing ODST via the Master Chief collection yeah and not on the Xbox 360? If you are playing via MCC, then that version of ODST doesn’t have the Good Samaritain achievement. It does have 2 Engineer related achievements though:
- Naughty Naughty - Kill 10 Engineers.
- Well…Maybe One or Two - Kill 25 Engineers.

Thanks for clearing that up. I’m playing on xb1 but I was looking at the guidebook for the 360 and just assumed they were the same. A lot of shielded Brutes got stuck with grenades instead of plasma pistol-headshot kills because of trying not to kill Engineers. Are there any Engineers in the non-Rookie missions?
Kikowani station has a ton of engineers. You can get at least 10 or more using the banshee, then either run the level again or restart a checkpoint and pick up a few more kills. Definitely, foe me anyway, the easiest level to get engineer kills on
