Title says it all. Elimination is way too competitive for my taste, plus Extermination comes up too much, and the Breakout modes in Action Sack show up rarely. Which is better for grinding this commendation? Some methods to increase my chances of getting this medal are also appreciated.
If you can find some solid teammates to play Breakout, then by all means go for it and play very conservatively. But to be honest, your best bet is going to be Paintball and Mantis Breakout in the Action Sack playlist. Casual players usually don’t care about dying and therefore won’t be concentrating on their surroundings as much.
Im assuming you’re going after the Magnum Opus faceplate, but since you’re currently ranked diamond in Elimination the only other recourse would be to wait until the ranks reset. Then you’ll be able to play a wide assortment of non-ranked players, good and bad alike.

I don’t understand this ranking system. I get absolutely crushed every time Extermination shows up, and only win when I get Breakout 1.0, which was only 2-3 times. I fought against diamond and onyx players every match, it was very obvious I couldn’t hold my own against them, yet the game still thinks I deserve diamond 5. I haven’t been so angry at this game in months.
The ranks reset around June 25th according to an older thread. In the meantime, what you can do is load up Action Sack and Dashboard>Quit until you get Paintball or Mantis Breakout as a game mode. This will be your best bet for now.
Also, make sure you Dashboard before the match begins so they can fill in the player slot without any hassle. Remember, a true Spartan never quits mid-match.
There used to be a method when elimination was firs put into matchmaking. Because of the way the game counted “no deaths” in the game type, all you had to do was win each round and be alive when they ended. Respawns didn’t matter so as long as you played decent you would get a lucky respawn timer. Now it’s patched and you have to actually work with a skilled team to keep you alive.
