well just mastered my carbine and that was a looooong road with plenty of ups and downs lemme tell you. so allow me to share some advice with those considering embarking on the perilous quest themselves.
the carbine as im sure you know is a mid range gun with x2 magnification effective at the same ranges the battle rifle is. with a faster rate of fire yet lower damage per bullet, it has a kill time very similar to the br and the dmr, but is much more difficult to nail due to more human error. you need to physically press RT more to get a kill, your contoller is rattling around, your sweating on your sticks, easily the most stressful gun to use. however that fast fire rate is GREAT at cleaning up 1 shots and for team shooting. you will get clean up kills here and there you would have missed out on with any other gun. a great janitorial gun, works well with a plasma pistol. also worth noting is a carbine and a dmr kill an enemy faster than just 2 dmrs. work well with your team; the carbine demands this more than any other gun but also rewards it more than any other. So nail the clean ups and be ready to back down from a straight 1v1 against a br/dmr because its a 40/60 matchup against you. good luck!
I love my good ol carbine. Great weapon, looking forward to its buff. I agree, that it works well with PP and that it is a good teamwork weapon.
I have found though that when you are teamshotting with a carbine your team mate usually ends up witht he kill, especially if your team mate uses the BR.
I love going toe to toe against BR and DMR. Carbine has the capability to beat them if used well enough and if your opponent isn’t 100% effective
carbine is the easiest of all covy loadouts. good luck with the rest.
On paper, the Carbine is easily the worst precision weapon in the game.
In practice? Ha.
I believe that the Carbine is only effective for slaughtering helpless grunts, all it would need to be a functioning weapon is for it to take one less shot to bring down an opponent.

I’m currently at 513/1000 kills to Master the Carbine. Then the only covenant loadout weapon left to complete is the Plasma Pistol…I have no clue how I’m going to achieve that.
Honestly, I’m going to wait until the buff to use it. At this point, it’s just too slow to be effective. I’ve used it before, but I found myself getting mostly assists. It’s not very easy to use.
I thought they already buffed it to a 7sk? Are they buffing it again or am I misinformed…

No they haven’t yet, it’s still an 8sk. They said in one of the bulletins that they were testing the Carbine as a 7sk weapon. So if 343 agrees to make that change, it will go in effect on June 3rd along with all the other weapon tunings.
