One of the main reasons why I don’t play Reach much at all anymore, is because of the maps. All of the maps are just kind of “meh” in my opinion. Then almost every single game, you play a Forge World map, which those got old fast and it’s very boring seeing the grey everywhere. The maps in Halo 2 were amazing, because Bungie specifically designed them for multiplayer, and tested them vigorously. The ones in Halo 3 were alright, ones in Reach were lame. I’m just hoping that the maps in Halo 4 are actually good. So far they are looking good, but we can only hope.

I agree OP. The only maps I even enjoy in Reach anymore is Sword Base and Countdown. There are some forge world maps that are decent but I never really remember the names.

Why does everyone hate on the Forge Maps? They were awesome! Plus, they were free map additions, and they allowed a lot more variety

I don’t think it’s so much that they didn’t like the maps. It’s just that everything is there and it is always grey.

I’ve played so many Forgeworld maps that I’ve seen all 50 shades of grey…and I don’t want to see that again. Ever.
On topic, I think that it’s a bit early to be judging the maps, having no experience with them first hand and whatnot…but even if most of the maps are bad, we have at least one map that everyone likes (Valhalla) along with three new-and-improved Forge spaces that will allow you to make the most balanced map in the world i you so please.
