Call me a band wagoner, but I’m tired of seeing all these posts trashing 343i for their so called “horrible” work on Halo 4. Honestly, they are doing an amazing job. They took someone else’s game and are progressively surpassing the masters themselves. All of you need to realize, 343i has DEADLINES. Which is the reason a 2nd DLC will be out before the game is finished, Microsoft does give them release deadlines, and sadly, the finished File Share was not one of them, so give 343i a break. They are doing a great job and I’d like to thank them for all of their hard work. Thank you 343i for providing a truly amazing game to the Halo series. I have faith in your future.<3

Did I ever say my opinion was right? No. What I stated was fact my friend, the only opinion I stated is that I have faith and love the game.
As far as deadlines go, I fail to see how it is a good excuse. Development started in 2009 and a lot of work going into Forge, multiplayer maps, theater and even the game’s CGI was distributed amongst several different companies like Certain Affinity, Digital Extreme and Axis Animation. What was the result? Bad UI, extremely lacking Forge and custom options and some pretty cutscenes.

No. This game is easily the worst of the series. and how are they progressing? Oh, that’s right, taking features out of Halo and replacing them with COD. Bungie listened to their community and didn’t boast about how awesome they are.
We’re only commenting on the fact that we are provided information weekly but it is rarely in response to anything the community has been saying for months. If you havent noticed most of the complaints are about how H4 lacks the same elements it’s predecessors had in favor of trying to copy another game’s formula, namely a certain fish, with simply doesnt work for halo. We’re mad because of the unresponcivness. They have the time to tell us one thing that most of us dont care for each week they have the time to tell us the things we want to know. We’d prefer that they had built upon what was already there and not go off in some strange direction. Fix your foundation before you build. We payed for this money was spent we have expectations and yes we have the right to say what we’d like to see done and not be ignored. As it currently stands alot of us feel we’re being ripped off and 343i is just using the halo fandom to fatten their wallets. I dont mind paying i just dont want to get ripped off.
Yes I like H4 but it doesnt stack up to the previous halos.

they’ve added some things in H4 we’ve been asking for for years
we’ve all asked for a “jackal” shield, 343 gave us one with a different name, now everyone’s calling it a riot shield ripoff
we’ve all asked for a Mech here and there, and 343i delivered us the Mantis
we all wanted the BR back, and 343i delivered
and when did 343i boast about their game being awesome?
just on the last buliten, they said themselves that they screwed up and were sorry about it

In the same update after saying how many awards they won and how much money they made and how they innovated technology, storytelling and marketing. All of which, aside from technology because I will say their motion capture was great, are debatable.
And for those three good things you said, they took away a lot. Lots of gametypes were cut, theater and the file browser were treated as an afterthought and sandbox balance is questionable at best.

The problem is it seems they’ll wait months before they address anything. While they have a weekly address to the community…would be nice if the communicated with us in that post…BTS info would be nice like what is being worked on/addressing community concerns…just a thought of what that weekly post could be.

I go to college. I have deadlines too. If I fail to complete my work before the deadline, guess what? I FAIL. I might could turn it in 4/5 complete, but I would get criticized and my grade will get a huge dent in it. The professor wont pat my back and say “its okay if you didnt FINISH your game. Tommy did and so did Sara, but should someone give you grief about it. In fact how about you turn in your next assignment and not finish that either.”
See, if you dont criticize them, then they will release another game that ISNT FINISHED! So people will say “OH, dont listen to those people. They think they are entitled to everything.” Well I paid full price to this game, I am ENTITLED to get a full game. Jezzus.

I agree with your thread title OP, 343 is less then Halo 3.
343 did make a great game. I love every bit of it. But they also have problems they have to fix as well.

What does this mean?
I hope you realize there will likely be atleast 3 more DLC packs before Halo 5.
Furthermore, 343 did not put in “Hard work” on this game. They put in ordinance, some AA’s, some new weapons, and maps.
That is all that changed in the transition from reach, so if you want to thank anyone for this game, thank bungie.
