Good job 343 you never cease to amaze me

As previously stated, I refuse to play any join in progress matches when it comes to rank so I will ALWAYS quit. Now here I am with a game I paid for and a subscription to XBL that I paid for and I am banned from matchmaking due to quitting. Good job 343 you guys did EVERYTHING right with this game.

Is it a Ban for life? or a small Ban for a day?

Good for you.
I laughed when I read this lol!
That’s what you get, quitter.

Most games nowadays will penalize you for quitting. Not 343’s fault, but I admit that JiP is flawed.

First time playing the Castle DLC Playlist today. Jumped into a game that was almost over and was pretty tough to come back from. We lost. Not a good first impression, 343i.

Not his fault that the game is so broken.

facepalm that is why you never quit a bunch, even if it’s JiP. Plus, the match you join you could also turn it around into your (teams) favor, so it’s also a reason why to play the matches. Heck, it happens for me in Regicide a lot!

Don’t be stupid about it. When you see you are joining in progress simply press start, go to network settings, and hit xbox only. This will boot you from the lobby. Then just hit xbox live and try again.

Quitting is almost always worse than losing.

That’s not even a valid argument.
The game didn’t force him to quit, HES the quitter.
He deserved that so much.

But the system does often force you into an unwinnable situation. I remember joining a game in progress and being greeted by a “DEFEAT” Screen. That’s bull–Yoink- and 343i knows it. JiP should have had the option to be turned off.

Completely VALID argument. The game DID force him to quite because JIP should never be involved in rankings. He is NOT the quitter, the first one to quit was the quitter!

Oh my god, yous never quit.

Then stop quitting… -.-
Also, you can avoid JIP matches by hitting Settings > Network > My Xbox 360 while you’re searching for a match. It’ll take you back to the playlist selection screen, and just make sure you change your Network back to Xbox Live.

Stop complaining about something you know you’ll be penalized for, ESPECIALLY considering this happened in Halo 3! Stop blaming 343i for problems that already existed. Either avoid JIP matches like I said, or just play the damn game and enjoy it.

Hopefully 343i will wise up and realize that a quit ban and join-in-progress system are stupid to pair together, at least for Halo 5. It made some sense in Reach since it did not have JiP and only lasted about 15 minutes. 343i, in their infinite wisdom, thought making it an hour would be smart. It wasn’t.

Don’t quit games then. Just do the JIP dodge trick.

> Quitting is almost always worse than losing.

I don’t go down in rank for losing or quitting in this game. What’s the difference?

Your CSR will go down.

Does anyone see it in the game? If not how would anyone notice? This game is mostly for casuals, they don’t tend to go out of their way to check on a website every game.

Exactly. If ranks were shown in-game, it would be a different story. But dsince it’s not and Casuals claim to not care for ranks anyway…
