Thread needs to be changed to DMR is underpowered.
The DMR is suppose to be a tier 2 power weapon, like the LightRifle, but the damn thing is horrible unless you’re a football fields length away due to EVERY OTHER GUN out gunning it.
And I don’t even know WHY they have it in the smallest arena maps. It worked in the beta; it felt worthy to pick it; now I’d rather use my magnum.
Whether it’s op or not I don’t know but I can tell you I’m sick of hearing the sound.

The BR can not out gun a DMR at long range, unless the DMR user is terrible.

Go try some big team battle on deadlock, try to use your BR to out shoot the DMR user from the top of your base to their’s.

Sentinel or Longshot BR with Long Barrel is actually pretty -Yoinking!- top notch.
I’m sorry but the DMR player must being having a rough day if they lose to a BR at nearly any range. The DMR is essentially the Carbine with unlimited range, it also has no recoil, no bloom on it’s reticle (I’ve tested it, the bloom is just there for show it has pinpoint accuracy at any range at any firing speed) the only thing that’d make a DMR player lose a 1v1 with a BR is if the DMR has a bad shot which hard since it’s so smooth at hitting enemies or if the DMR user is zooming in at mid to close range.

thats not something Id ask, because I know what guns to bring to each scenario. the br is a weapon id prefer to have since the AR is generally trash (in warzone). it sits in a comfortable middle ground between the smg/shotgun and dmr/sniper.

how long is long range? what type of BR? A BR with a scope? The DRM comes with a scope, as much as i have used it, it seems to have a higher fire rate and does a lot more damage to bosses. There seems to be a weakpoint multiplier, tho i dont have stats to back that up. just that i can kill promethazine in 1 magazine. higher rate of fire and scope = more rounds with better optics. the fire rate also helps in close range fights.

I made sure to always pick up the DMR and SMG. But I know when to use them. the DMR would wreck people, since i could keep my distance as i flanked them. their shields were down before they knew where they were getting shot from. Im pretty sure ive killed 2 people on a single magazine with ease, with a BR in my back pocket.
If I spawn with an AR and Pistol and walk up to a BR, I will Swap it with my AR.
if then I walk up to a DMR, I will swap it with my Pistol.
If I walk up to a Needler/SMG, I will swap it with my BR
if im going for close range, i would swap the DMR
Though both setups are preparing for different scenarios. DMR + Close Range is for staying away from enemies, to pick them off at long to mid range, with the ability to kill enemies that try to sneak up or get close.
The other BR + Close Range, is for when you intend to use your close range weapons but want a weapon which can reliably hit mid range targets without scoping/using smartlink.
if you are a good shot you will do fine with a Pistol, DMR, and BR. But just because 1 is more flexible since its between the Pistol and DMR doesnt mean its OP, it just means its can do both of their jobs reasonably well.
the only thing about the BR I’m still unsure of is , is it a 3 shot kill with a headshot , or still a fourshot kill no matter where the shots land. Lots of times it seens like its even a two shot kill but that might be because I get shot by more than one player at the same time.
What do you think DMR range is? Because the DMR range is FAR superior to everything besides the Sniper and it fires quickly enough that 5sk isn’t a handicap at all so long as you can aim.
The BR doesn’t have spread lol
are you people crazy? Put the max scope on a br and you can still shoot at a DMR’s range succesfully

This…pistol still seems better even though i’m more comfortable with BR - as I imagine a lot of players are. DMR is better than BR for me anyway as well…they are just more rare on maps.
