Instead of banning people for quitting for a punishment make it so they can’t quit when they join games. So they’re forced to play the -Yoinking!- game! And if in case your connection is bad then that’s on your connection and you don’t get punished for having bad connectivity. It’s really dumb going into a game of breakout with a boost and everyone leaving on my team after loosing one stupid round. This whole “quitting cause you’re loosing” is starting to get really dumb
ehhhh…If you have bad connection, you shouldn’t be playing Halo in the first place…but I do agree, you should Not be punished for being lagged out…maybe after you’ve left 5 games though?
When people quit it makes me so mad. I was playing the social capture the flag and we were doing really good then we started doing bad and I realized it’s because a teammate quit. After that we just defended and we barely pulled out with a tie.

Ehh, if you make it so you can’t quit the match, people will just quit out of the app instead

Good point! I just wish there was a better way, because banning someone for 8 hours, yeah it sucks but that’s not gonna suddenly make them say “huh I guess I won’t rage quit games anymore” ya know?

That’s generalizing that everyone quits particularly because they’re losing.
Did you ever consider that people have valid reasons for leaving? Such as something coming up at spectacularly short notice and having to duck out at that moment? What if a family member collapses during a very close ranked game? Should I stick it out and complete it in either circumstance? (I’m quite serious, the latter happened at one point, I went out of my way to apologize)
Frankly, I leave social games for much less strenuous reasons than in ranked. I only go into ranked when I have enough time on my hands to complete them, and only leave if emergencies occur that require my immediate and direct attention. If I need to quit, there’s no option that’s going to prevent me from dashboarding, pressing Start, and exiting the match.
As for the people who lose connection, that is a very valid complaint. There should be some sort of function that tells whether a user disconnected intentionally (through quitting through the menu and dashboarding) or through actual connection loss, yet this doesn’t happen.
during the height of my Halo3 addiction i didn’t quit a match that had just started…unfortunately i was supposed to be picking my daughter up from a hobby
the wife had to go get her - she was fuming!

If someone’s collapsing while I’m in game, quitting isn’t even going to be on my mind. I’ll end up being AFK.
