Good Halo Infinite Controller settings

Deadzone 1 is better than zero. I also noticed that when I go into the console settings and turn off PC cross-play, I feel slow and sluggish so I turned it back on.

These are my settings:

  • Sensitivity 7.5 or 8
  • Deadzones 1
  • Max input 2.5
  • Acceleration 3
  • Elite controller instant on left stick and turn the slider all the way up. Right stick on smooth
  • Go to accessibility and change the reticle thickness to 5, 6 or 7 as it helps with the BR

I recommend everyone play with the settings in training mode. Mine are way different to yours but it feels great to play.

Threads to suggest Controller settings are so useless…

Each Controller needs different deadzones. Not everyone can aim with high acceleration or high sense cause of muscle memory

My buddy uses 10 sense and 5 acc. I use 1.5 and 4… His Controller needs 4 deadzone my Controller is working with 1…It depends on how you play and how your Controller register movement…

Same for Button mapping. Do you know how other People hold the Controller? Index on rb or Index on rt? Claw grip?

Also for the elite controller I use only one paddle on the bottom left for jump as I prefer to have really comfortable grip on the aiming side

What are the settings in training mode?. I played it but I didn’t think to check that

He suggest that everyone should try different settings in Training Mode to find the best one…

I Agree. Additional to that, i noticed that the FOV plays a huge role if comes down to Sensetivity, Deadzones and treshold settings.

My settings for FOV 115 on a 27" Monitor, Xbox Series Controller:

Accel.: 2
Vert Sens: 3
Horizont Sens:3

Look Thumbstick
Deadzone: 11
Treshhold: 0
Axial Deadzone: 0

It’s difficult to recommend settings, since muscle memory, grip, different Setups etc. vary from person to person. I’m sure my settings are way too slow for some people, for others maybe to fast. It takes time to find the optimal settings.

Sorry I just meant play training mode and mess around with the settings there so you can get a real good feel for what feels good and what doesn’t.

What’s the purpose of a deadzone?

Personally I use the default controller settings with 5 sensitivity and the claw hand method when I hold the controller

My palm is snugly sitting on the bottom of the right hand of the controller with my index finger over the buttons, my middle finger on the triggers and my thumb on the thumb stick to aim as I jump and shoot

Bumper jumper default settings with a paddle on the elite to mark enemies and another for equipment use

The purpose is to make the stick does react as fast possible without register movement in the default Position.

Stickdrift is common on all Controllers. Some need 0.5 some need 2.

So whats the diffrance when the setting gets higher?

You have to move the stick more away from the Center until the stick reacts.

It helped me to understand the different settings better.
