with all these new additions, and people referencing COD multiple times. I have been able to see peoples opinions from both games.
You see, in my group of friends/ xbox live locals, we’ve all been playing and hanging out since H3. But, once the 3 era began to die down (also around the same time COD4 came out), a lot of my friends went to COD.
and by a lot I mean… It used to be my 16 friends who played H3 would literally all be on Halo at the same time. And once COD came out there was only 3 of my friends who stuck to Halo due to their highly interest in Halo, and just their love for the game.
(THE POINT)
All the COD fans that are my friends are now saying stuff like
“Oh wow Halo 4 is adding ‘blah, blah, blah’ Just like COD!” Getting extremely hyped for it. and at the same time, are hating COD because of its same formula.
A lot of COD people seem like theyre converting to Halo 4, which Halo players have never seemed to like them that much.
Do you find this cool or are you not diggin it?
I for one would love to see more people on Halo, reviving it to its glory days.

CoD players don’t learn do they? praise a franchise for doing the samething they’re condemning another franchise for, too funny.
this may be good for halos population but this doesn’t mean its good for halos gameplay and community, if anything the influx of CoD fans switching over or back to halo bringing there CoD mentality and ideas a long with them could really ruin the halo franchise because 343i will listen to there ignorant silly concerns and address them in halo 5.
Thats funny, because all my “hardcore Halo friends” who have been playing at least since Halo 2 in my “clan”(or used to be clan) have despised the direction of Halo over the years precisely for not sticking to its roots and really how slow and non-competitive it has become. So you see, theres two sides to each coin.

a great story that COD will never have because you cant copy paste great stories…
need I go on???
yes there are some similar things to cod such as the tactical packages and such but really each FPS’s have been stealing ideas from each other for awhile now. It was going to happen eventually that Halo incorporated some aspects of COD. We can either live with it or not play halo
as far as I’m concerned
Im play Mother F’ing halo so I’ll just deal with it.
well when i say hardcore halo fans i usually mean we put Campaign before everything. and when we played reach trust me we didnt enjoy it too much but we still kept on trying to learn how to control bloom, how to beat AL, etc…
More people playing Halo 4 is more people for me to kill and -Yoink!-. Come one come all, I got respawn screens and celebratory crouches for everyone. Even teammates, should you die next to me you will be getting bagged, lol.
Seriously though, if CoD players come over to Halo 4 because of what’s being added, then by all means, come on over. The force is strong over here.

well killstreaks and ordinace drops are way different…Not in the way you obtain them, but what they reward.
KS gave beasts even more beastly advantages. ODs give YOU a little extra fire power. Not your team and not your teams kills…at least not directly

well ordinance drops isn’t kill streaks
… they do the same thing, reward players for achieving certain feats, what matters now is which is more balanced and at this point, halo 4s ordinance system is more balanced then CoDs kill streak system.

No real Halo player supports ordnance drops. Power weapons should be a neutral aspect of the game earned by map control, ever since H3 that line has been blurred and now we literally have a random system in the game.
Map movement used to be a huge skill in Halo, now its a chaotic mess thanks to sprint and ordnance drops.
Here are my thoughts on this. It would be good, because more people will play halo. But it would be bad, because the new halo players,(cod fans) would bring their noobish tactics with them like camping, and chucking grenades at their aponents at the last second just to avenge themselves, and stuff like that.

You probably just hear what you want because you want Halo your way.
But there will STILL BE POWER WEAPONS ON MAP. The ordinance drop is to reward you smarty.
and regarding map movement, once you secure the better position and no longer need to move throughout the map as often, you really only need sprint to get to cover faster once the invading team makes a push.
