I just wanted to say good bye to the Halo I once knew and love and move on with my life, I know this post will more than likely be taken down soon after I post it but that’s one of the reasons I’m putting this out there for all the people that are getting banned because they don’t support 343 and the choices they made. We the older halo community need to just move on from this game to something different for 343 now have a new community of people that support micro transactions and see nothing wrong with what they have done to the old parts of Halo. We are old news and if you don’t have any thing to praise them with the mods of the forms will silence you and then move on to the next. I guess we need to know when to take a loss and let 343 and their new fan base have fun with the upcoming Halos. Don’t get me wrong I like some things about Halo 5 cant think of them off the top of my head though but its not enough to keep me wanting more, I guess that’s all from me to the mod who comes here to close this post I just ask you leave it for just a day at least.

No one will close your thread because of an opinion either…whole point of a forum is free speech, even though I disagree with you entirely.
I’ve been a fan since CE (my favorite, by the way), and I love Halo 5. At the risk of sounding presumptuous, I’m going to also add that at no point since playing Halo since about 2003/early 2004 was I a child, so these games have no connection with my childhood whatsoever nor any associated memories or nostalgia and therefore I’ve been able to play and enjoy them, changes and all, with the same adult perspective unhindered by the fondness of Saturday mornings in my onesie eating fruit loops. Not that you have, just putting that out there because this kind of sentimentality usually is accompanied by said childhood nostalgia what with the frustration with alterations and changes to things held dear in those precious childhood memories. Same reason Michael Keaton will always be the best Batman in my opinion, I get it.

I know I don’t speak for them I just had to get this out there if you don’t agree that’s fine thanks for bringing it up. I also felt like I needed to put it that way because most players that feel this way are banned .
People often express doubt that there’s a silent majority of people who prefer the older games that don’t bother to post on forums.
Yet you signed up here pretty much just to post this, providing some iota of evidence for this silent majority. It’s always interesting to see the occasional recruit-iron make posts like this.
As for the mods…yeah I’m not going to lie the rules around here are unnecessarily strict at times and some stuff does get unnecessarily censored. Yet the vast majority of the time if a critical thread gets locked it’s because it was voicing criticism in a very poor manner.

Yeah dude sucks to see a player leave the franchise. That being said, I’m having a blast on this game and I’ve played every game in the series. I haven’t spent a dime on microtransactions, and I don’t feel like I have too. In addition, there are many negative threads on here that don’t get shut down, so your complaint that people are getting banned just because they didn’t have anything nice to say seems untrue.
I get that you’re frustrated with the game. It sucks to see a player leave, but that’s really what you have to do if you don’t like the way a game franchise is going. It’s the only real way to get their attention. I will continue to support them because I love what they’ve done with the game. To each his own.

I’m right there with you OP. I’ve recently gotten into pc gaming, so I’ve got plenty to keep me satisfied there. I’ve always said I’d be with xbox as long as it had Halo, but I never actually believed that. I assumed xbox would just get better and better and that Halo would continue to be amazing, but man was I wrong.
Halo has been spiraling down hill since Halo 4. The MCC was a colossal failure and Halo 5 is just… mediocre. With Halo losing its appeal, I have no reason to remain with xbox. I still got some games on there to play, but nothing with the power and impact of Halo.
Luckily Halo pc has a bunch of cool mods to play and I’ve got some good pc games, one of which I’ve really gotten into these past few days. On the xbox side, I’ve got Overwatch to play casually with friends free from Halo 5’s frustrating multiplayer.
People don’t get banned because they don’t praise 343. They get banned because they come on here and be yoinks about it. Don’t like H5 fine… then five some corrective criticism and don’t come on here ranting and raving about it. Don’t like “new” Halo then go play MCC, Reach, Halo Wars or Spartan Assault. Go back to the Xbox 360 and play old Halo.

I don’t get why people come here and cry and be all like I am done with Halo… ok if that was true why waste your time here? It makes no sense. No one here cares if you are done with Halo. I stopped playing GTA 5… I don’t go to GTA forums and make cry threads about it. I just stopped playing and moved on with my life. I wish more here would do the same. Done with Halo? Prove it and move on with your life…it’s ok not to like or play Halo.

Yes, exactly! Can’t wait for it. Been playing the Silent Cartographer SPV3 mod. All the SPV3 campaigns will be released in June?

I wouldn’t recommend using a controller for Halo PC. I’ve tried my Xbox 360 controller on normal Halo PC and it’s just…really floaty and awkward. Not sure how to describe it. Like you barely move left and your guy just slides over that direction while drifting forwards.
You gotta keep in mind it’s a port that was made around the time Halo 2 came out, and there were a lot of flawed PC ports back then…looking at you RE4…

It does, I’ve tried it. Doesn’t feel like Halo on xbox, but it works.
