Good Build Order for Isabel?

With every other leader, I usually start Supply, Energy, Supply. Will this still work with Isabel? What is a good starting army for her? I know her early is pretty weak while her late is pretty good based on some forum reading.

IMO, you cant afford that build with isabel.
she is the worst early game and top tier late game.
so you ve got to go heavy early 2 or 3 supply pad to start of then mini base (marine sniper …)
or
turtle till tier 3 (i wont recommend that)

i also completly bypass tier 2.

I actually usually open supply- gen- supply - supply- gen as isabel. This build gives you enough economic backing to open strong and rush to T2. Isabel is really only viable on T3, and that’s when she becomes an absolute monster. As a result, saving energy and playing defensively is absolutely crucial. I like to build mass marines on T1 for node control, and add Kodiaks and Nightingales to them on T2. This gives you enough defensive capability to hold out against most early aggression and boom to scorpions as fast as possible. Once you start pumping tanks as isabel, it’s basically GG. Just get like 6 scorpions with cannister shell and the best offense and you can steamroll any ground force short of a scarab.

Right. Scarab.

We can always nuke it from orbit, right? That’s the only way to be sure.

I think Cyclops’ mixed in should theoretically help. Maybe add in some Gauss Hogs.

Or just use GITM because Engineer will no doubt be healing this theoretical Scarab.

I mean, the scorpions will still kill it, especiall yon vehicle level 2 or higer. I just mean that they can’t steamroll it, you actually have to spend some time attacking it lol.

But yeah, GITM is probably the most useful when the enemy has a super unit. Especially when you can burn it’s Y ability and break a turtle.

i play 3x3
idk good idea or not
gen (up)
sup (up after up second gen)
gen (up)
sup (up)
sup (up)
if available second minibase (sup/inf/air/gen)
t2 - 2xgarage
for deffense turrets/marines/kodiaks and use scouts
trying not lose energy before t3, after t3 - tanks + nightingales + maybe anti air and get second base
skills - armor 1, holo 1, Assembly 1, The Best Offense - 1, combat salvage 1, max mac blast/ghost in the machine,
sometimes faster mac blast

Upgrade supply, not gen, second supply, then start upping gens. Delays tech 2 but ensures you have the defense and unit pump to survive early. Upgrade literally nothing else until t3, at all. Avoid spending power like the plague. Upgrade for canny shell the moment t3 completes, as scorpions aren’t worth pumping without it.

Legend…thanks heaps

I normally open up gen, supply, marine, supply, supply, gen, marine.

Have marines collect stuff and capture nodes. Upgrade the first Gen and supply ASAP, then upgrade the second gen ASAP. get mini bases if possible and put supplies on, if you see them rushing ofc build turrets. Once you hit tec 2 build 2 garages, build Kodiak’s or whatever for defence, and just wait until you hit tec 3.

Bit jumbled apart from the build order, but it depends on your situation. I’ve had people rush, fail and then quit because tanks are strong.

If I’m on that map were sentinels recapture nodes I don’t even bother with marines as I just skip them nodes. Not sure if that’s the right thing to do, but it just seems counter productive capturing them just for the AI to retake them. If anyone thinks I’m wrong for that, then please let me know as I’m still improving myself.

I’m not a champion or even onyx, but I think that reasoning should be exactly why you take nodes. If your opponent thinks the same thing and doesn’t bother, then only keeping a couple nodes will help you out tech him so much faster.

This is very true. The nodes on that map are probably the biggest game changers in the game, as players ignore them. If you can take them you have a HUGE advantage over your opponent, even if it is brief.

I love Isabel and have some really good success once I git T3.

I start with supply
Generator
I then upgrade the supply pad
buld a third generator
I then upgrade the second or first generator
then build two supply pads but don’t upgrade them
so I now have 1 supply pad upgraded and 1 generator the rest are standard
Then I build as many marines as possible until I have enough power to T2
Then when T2 is done I build a garage and spam warthogs letting my power rise
Then go T3
Then research Canny shot
spam scorpion and expo when you I am in a good economic position with some units to attempt a defense if I’m attacked
