Hey, want to know if anyone thinks that Halo Infinite is a good balance between the original Halos and New Halos.
(Think it’s a good balance between each other)
Using the old classic artsyle for Halo is a big plus, as well as bringing back chief’s original armour (before Halo: 4 and Halo: 5) and then implementing mechanics like the slide, clamber and more is a very good balance for Halo Infinite.

I hope the experience will make the origin work better, and so should art.
It seems like it combines legacy and modern gameplay really well. And I’m glad 343 was able to find some middle ground with the fans of each respective gameplay ilk.
I’m really happy they didn’t go all classic like Halo 3, because to be honest it’s multiplayer has aged poorly for me personally, I still like it but it leaves something to be desired in terms of movement and gunplay.
With that all being said, we still don’t know how the entire game’ll play out. But im excited.
I’m really impressed with the soundtrack.
Obviously it’s more like the originals, but there are still tasteful hints of 4 and 5, and I really appreciate that.
I think Infinite hits pretty close to being the best way 343i could’ve went about refurbishing the franchise for modern gamers without alienating longtime fans. sprint is there but primarily exists to initiate slide, a much more subtle and situational movement ability that fits well into halo’s learning curve. equipment is back, streamlined and super fun without breaking game balance. ttk is faster than 3 but slower than 5 and fits the overall slightly faster pace. the game feels good.
Hope I can get into beta testing since it looks good.

I’m definitely in the H5 > H2 >>> H3 mindset.
I would buff the Sprint a little bit. I get why they toned it down… but I think they may have gone too far. Love that the kept slide and that the movement mechanic will revolve around it. Clamber is good.
I miss thrusters… so can’t wait to see how the equipped version works.
Happy they got rid of hover, pound, and (especially) charge.

From watching gameplay seems like a good balance of H3 and H5, with both of those being my favourite mps I can’t wait to try it for myself. Fingers crossed we get a new flight later this month or early next month.
It really is a nice blend and works well. Not too fast pace but somehow still grounded with a steady pace. Really happy with most of the classic sounds. One thing i would love to see come back is the classic Halo CE spin out sniper kill animation.
The recent test flight felt great.
Like Halo 5 movement, mix with Halo 3 gameplay.
I’m just glad they reduced sprint and got rid of thrusting.

They should go forward not backwards always.
