Gonna buy a controller I think

Personally, I prefer using my rock band drumset.

Every kill is satisfying, since you really have to work for it. Plus, gunshots and melee have that extra “punch.”

It’s not about bragging rights, its about using an input that allows for a higher skill ceiling and what is more enjoyable to watch.

Cross-input shouldn’t be a thing in a competitive setting and absolutely should not be in HCS. Turn off aim assist in HCS, leave it on in online, but disable cross-input matchmaking in ranked modes.

Then HCS either needs to disable AA or have a separate tournament for M&K.

actually remove MNK from HCS and leave halo to its roots, and go watch some twitch shooter competitive if you dont like it lmao. Halo is built around a play style. that playstyle was built around a controller. A halo like game with MNK favorable movements is called destiny. u can play that, but dont be trying to change halo or want it to accomodate u because u play MNK…MNK has a totally diff playstyle. thats what u even refer to on the “not enjoyable to watch” mnk is faster twitchier ect. thats not halo. Halo needs to stay as it is, thats when halo is at its best

They need to have a tournament for MnK.

Why would you disable aim assist? Just why? Who’s that benefiting?

Like are you trying to say you’re skilled enough to play Halo Infinite with no aa on controller? The aiming is still -Yoink- on MnK. You’d be killing off a huge portion of the competitive playerbase.

Halo’s still a console game at its core so majority of the pros would reside there. And they’re all using controller.

Plus you even have players using controller on PC.

Then Halo can stay mediocre as it has been for the past 9 years.

It would benefit Halo as it would finally show that they’re ready to be a serious competitor in the international e-sports scene.

Nobody takes controller e-sports seriously, anymore.

Yeah. Seriously try to kill its chances to become a serious competitor.

Like, what’s your beef with controller? It’s is not a super villain. It’s a piece of hardware.

You’re literally taking away the one feature it needs to operate.

there are still more people out there, both users and viewers who use controller than MNK. so im sure halo would survive. MNK competitive will not make or break a game, how good a game is will determine that. halo went down hill AFTER it tried to be something its not. Halo staying true to the core of halo will only help it

Beyond that idgaf if halo has a MNK competitive scene or is taken seriously. I just want a good halo game with the classic hce-3 feel

It’s really sad that 343 have overtuned controller so much in this game. It’s not MCC levels but it’s still crazy.

The comments saying that game has limited AA really need to play more and adjust the awful preset controller setup. It’s so difficult to actually miss in this game. I know it sounds like I’m boasting but it’s so easy; especially the AR. That gun is laser accurate.

People here should try overwatch on PC with a controller. That game has 0 aim assist for both inputs. Try it and see what happens.

I play with Elite V2 but I wish I didn’t have to.

Where would people practice without aim assist?
Ranked shouldn’t have aim assist if they turn off aim assist in tournaments where keyboard and mouse users can go against gamepad users.

I agree.

The movement on gamepads might balance things somewhat.

No. How about we stop trying to figure out ways to ruin the game?

How would it ruin the game to have aim assist removed in Ranked and tournaments?

You’re removing aim assist for controllers. They need it because of the way they’re designed. You won’t hit anything without aim assist on controller.

Are you saying it would be like trying to aim with a trackball?

Nope. It’s a terrible experience.

Like imagine trying to hover over an enemy and the reticle flies past every time.

That already happens to me.
I guess it’d be difficult to aim if it was always like that, unless I reduced my turn speed.
It might not be impossible though.

Yeah probably wouldn’t be impossible for some but completely unnecessary.

It probably wouldn’t be as bad as the movement and other actions on keyboard.
So, the playing field would be more level.

Thinking about it, maybe it’d be better to try to buff mouse and keyboard users instead of trying to nerf gamepad users.
I don’t use mouse and keyboard though, so I’m not sure how that would go.

Wait you don’t play mouse and keyboard? I thought you did.

Why are you trying to nerf anything gettingna feel for both inputs?
