Anyone else spend countless hours on halo 2’s headlong trying to find the golden warthog? I know i did. Yeah, whatever call me a kid, i dont care, i found so many easter eggs searching the maps of halo 2 that i thought for sure it would be there. I was wrong.
So when halo reach anniversary maps came out, and the headlong remake included i thought “Maybe 343i put it in, as a running gag and just to be awesome.” I was so hopeful that they would put it in, and done something like they did with the GRD doll button in Danmnation. Once again my plans were foiled, and all i found was the little picture of headlong in the bottom left side (when facing the big door at the end of the jump.)
So i ask this, does anyone want to see the golden warthog make it into halo 4? Just in some way, shape or form see the golden warthog or be able to drive it? It doesnt even have to be accesible in multiplayer, just a small thing where the golden warthog is drivable, like in forge.
The way i want to see it? A remake of headlong, all glitches (ok maybe not all, the super jumps would be impossible to remake) included. I want to be able to fly up to the top of the building above the gate on the right side of the map (just barely) in a banshee and see a little button there. When pushed, it opens the big gold door (at the end of the jump) and there sits the golden warthog in all its glory.
Yeah, call me childish, i dont care. I just want to see the golden warthog finally make its debut into the halo games.
And for all those who dont know what the golden warthog looks like, go take a look at the halo 2 map Headlong, or the remake of it in reach. Find the billboard on the left side of the map where the banshee spawns (Headlong) or where the sniper spawns (breakneck) You should see a billboard with a yello hog on it. “Its beauty and the beast”-Halo 2 billboard “Beauty/Beast”-The less awesome Breakneck billboard.
