Best way to grind on gold reqs?
Heroic Firefight, and only start to buy them once you are done with Silver packs, and by that I mean when you open a Silver Pack and the first few cards are Req points then you are done opening Silvers.

Absolutely this. That, or play the featured playlists in the social/ranked sections of matchmaking, and they usually offer more RP/XP rewards at the end of games.

there is no way to know when you finish the bronze packs though. You can always go back and get your basic mongoose certs after you finish your gold grind.
Note: If you do it the correct way, you should finish silvers around level 60-70 and golds by around 135-140

I agree. I found either Heroic or Legendary Firefight to REQ grind. The more damage dealt in-game, the bigger the REQ payout. Check the Post-game Stats for Damage Dealt. I found a correlation between the two in most instances. But what is most important is to have fun. Play what ever game mode you enjoy! REQ points will accumulate. Either way, gold grind takes time. The first time, I achieved it at SR142, I believe. The second time, using a different account, it was at SR127. As noted previously by earlier posts, concentrate on Silver packs then Gold, if you are trying to accomplish full certification quickly. Buy only Bronze when you run out of a weapon or Scout Warthog that is needed. You will receive your mongoose certs eventually.
