Why is it whenever there is a challenge involving the gold ranger class elites they don’t appear on my campain :s
Just wondering if anyone knows why this is happening?

i’ve done this challenge twice since they 1st introduced it back last year, i wont be spending any more time doing this again, sometimes it appears straight away and other times it takes over 25mins just to see the one banshee using unlimited boost.
Josh i find that you see the BOB’s a lot more when your on Heroic or Legendary then playing on Normal, i hope that helps you buddy.
The BoBs showing up are completely random, they don’t show up any more/less when the challenge is on.
It is pot luck.
My friend and i usually enjoy this challenge alot.
When this challenge shows up, we just go into Co-Op Campaign on Rally Point Bravo of "The Package".
We run past the little skirmish between the Elites &marines, up the stairs to where the Sniper Rifle & Spartan laser are at. The Gold Elite will usually be standing in the garage behind the Shade turret that is farthest to the right.
The way we do it is one of us blasts him with the Spartan laser, then the other one hits him with the sniper rifle for the challenge, then we revert to last checkpoint (because you’ll get a checkpoint when you are going up the stairs), and we just do it the opposite way so the other guy can get the challenge.
If you get to the upper level and the gold Elite isnt there, we just quit the level and try again from the same spot, and it hasnt taken more than 3 tries.
It’s an easy challenge and it is usually for 5000cr, so it is certainly worth the time. If the challenge ever pops up again, just add me on xbox live (STARCHILD8883) and i’ll help anyone out that needs some help

The challenge today is for finding the BOB specifically on New Alexandria. I have never done this specific challenge, but I almost always do it when the challenge is to find any BOB.
A very easy way to find him is to load Winter Contingency, Rally Point Alpha on Heroic. Jump in the truck and drive down the hill. Make a left at the fork and drive past the buildings. If you run back to the building there should be a BOB there.

This challenge is not only available on New Alexandria, but you can also kill this banshee with much more difficulty on exodus as well. On Exodus it is when you clear the landing pad when you ride the falcons and it also appears a second time in between the two guns on beachhead. On NA you need to stay around 450 feet altitude near the night club where you fight the hunters. While fending off banshees you will see around the 5 minute mark a banshee boosting. Follow it and take it down. It took me 5 minutes to get it, and I finished the level afterwards too. Moar Flawless Cowboys
As for finding them in general, Rally Point Alpha in winter contingency, sometimes the beginning of tip of the spear on the hill before the first AA gun. Or just after you crash the falcon in Tip of the spear a bob appears with a fuel rod cannon. In the package rally point alpha just outside the garage and up the ramp, or just before the cutscene leading to the glacier battle, or near the end of the level a bob will appear close to one of the wraiths, usually the one closest to the alien installation in the background. BOB also appears in Lone Wolf around the 7 minute mark.
They run away and disappear while the rest of the covenant distract you, you have to actually chase BOBs down before they get away, best level to encounter them is on Nightfall Heroic just after the first compound, you’ll see him sprinting into the building that leads to the next area
