V5 of Gold Pro is now on my fileshare (D0ju), and will be the last for a good while. We have the TU, AND the THC map pack which could be big game changers.
So, whats new to V5? Lots of stuff. And a new (and very rushed) map guide added on the post below, so newcomers can see what the maps look like before playing. Ideal for when using the settings at a LAN/online scrims etc.
Forge maps added
I’ve been alot more active in the forge community. Must say, cheers to everyone who has helped out with basic questions, map opinions and even offering to update new versions quickly for me. I feel more forgers deserve a spotlight for their hard/excellent work. Good job lads. Ive taken in feedback, went over gameplay, looked at what the disc maps lack etc etc.

-Lotus CTF added (Pit style rules/scoring)
-Laguna and Memento Hill added
-Tactical jumps on Adrift (mid section) added. Base crates moved to help map flow a little.
-Tactical jumps on Abandon added
-Non waypointed Shotgun added to Abandon and Solace for a CQC weapon. 1 min, no extra clips, but despawns after 12 secs.
-Ext points on Solace fixed to avoid ext’s through scenery. Extra Tactical jumps also added on the balconies.
-Added tact jumps to default Laguna. Crates placed below the flag in default Lotus. Modified lift/crates in default Memento
-Inc Cannon replaces Rockets on Solace
2 v 2 Added
-2 V 2 added, 30 kill limit. Instant respawns off!
-Serum, Rail added to the map rotation for 2 v 2
-Haven and Abandon included too
-Simplex changes, (weapon changes see below). Jump up from bottom gold bridge to top gold bridge. Ducts at front of base lowered so you can jump from the side ramps to the flag. Top mid can be accessed from the front side of the base now, whilst doubling as extra cover at courtyard.
-Rail is an updated version from MM. Rail and OS swap placed, DB replaces sniper. Jump ups from snip door to stickies added
-NOTE - I cant get the Random Ord trick for a static OS on rail working! Its on my fileshare, could somebody fix it for me?
FFA Added
-15 mins, the usual.
-100 points for a kill, -1 for a death. Why? Because this is used as the in game tie breaker, rather than scroll a K/D screen for it.
-Haven FFA (more by default really, need to look into a proper FFA map), no power weapons, 1 min static DB added to add some variety to it. Does not spawn at start.
Base traits
-150% shield recharge rate - to help further eliminate that awkward wait for shields in recharge mode. Helps quicken the game abit.
Everything else (obj timers/respawn timers) are the same as v4.3, Hill is same old scoring/rules as in previous Halos. For 2 v 2, the settings for the future V6 will be used in the tourney in March, so they NEED your feedback.

I eventually want to add more than 11, but want to see more from the upcoming map pack. Maps like Exalted and Ultra are certainly worthy of being in Gold Pro, as well as maps coming from the EU community but need more time to look at them. Also looking for a good asym slayer map to replace Solace since it already has 3 gametypes, but havent found something that fits the bill yet.

Testing
Im also looking for more help when it comes to testing. Obviously im not a pro player with a huge following, so I cant get full parties with a quick tweet. I would love as many people as possible to help test these settings out, refine them as much as possible, showcase forge maps, and after all that, we can influence MM in a good way which reflects the current opinions of the Halo community. These have been through 5 versions of testing, months/tournaments of feedback. They are starting to get polished.
