With video games it’s even more imperative cause if you’re on the same maps and modes all the time, like here, it gets boring really fast, especially if we’re talking FPS.

I see what you mean, audience engagement is another beast. Thinking of why I like watching basketball, it’s because I can appreciate what it takes for the athletes to perform the way they do. Could be the same for gaming? If someone likes competitive Halo that much, all they need is to see is good strategy and skill. But I don’t watch much pro gaming to comment on how exciting it is. I fully agree it would be better if there was a larger variety of maps and modes.
I’m surprised there isn’t an English caster feed or even a feed where the casters are muted and you only hear game sounds.
Are they really showing an ad for an update that released more than a month ago? And now it’s a Skilltacular from more than months ago. Jeez, they need to get back on the horse with that. The submission thread is still going.
What I can’t figure out is why the feed is in Spanish but the dang commercials are in English???

I don’t think this HCS weekend will do enough to keep my interest. I’m actually a little surprised that the commentary language is taking away some of the appeal for me. Although, this first match was a complete steamroll…so that may be playing into it too.
I’ll probably go earn my gold packs the old fashioned way.
