I just tried to get a gold pack with 10000 of my req points, but I received a “purchase error,” had my points taken away, and didn’t get anything. This isn’t the first time that this has happened either. I’m already against micro-transactions, why should I feel inclined to actually buy anything when the game randomly encounters a bug and takes away my gold packs?
I feel like the code logic behind this simple transaction shouldn’t be hard. Why can’t the game deduct req points once the player has received their reqs?
-Yoink-. Why do req packs even exist? I just want Helljumper, Mark IV, and Mark V armor. Probably because it reminds me of the good old days when this series was good.
I’ve been a fan of the Halo series since day one, and I’ve been an Xbox Live member for 10 years. I’m getting my degree in computer science in large part because of the Halo series and other video games I grew up loving. It hurts to see the game I enjoyed as a kid turn into a chore to chase after these req points that get taken away from you through glitchy code. Between the lackluster/confusing campaigns of Halo 4 and 5, the req pack system, and underdevelopment of Master Chief and Blue Team in Halo 5 (12 Osiris missions vs 3 Blue Team missions?), I find it hard to go out and buy Halo 6 to finish(???) Master Chief’s story.
