So previously you would get a legendary req on 4 out of 5 gold packs, now it seems to be 1 out of 5, and this isn’t over a low sample size. Did 343 roll out this nerf along with the general warzone nerf, or as the call it “improvement”?
It sucks in general how poorly documented any change they make are and this again seems to have been rolled out without properly informing their player base, honestly why do we tolerate this. Typically with any software change there would be a read only document stating the changes made, 343 thinks it’s ok to just sweep things under the rug and not explain why. It is very frustrating.
I’ve unlocked everything and when buying a gold pack I get 6000 points straight back. I usually spend at least 100000 points at one time and never seem to get anything good especially vehicles !!! I never get Hannibal wasps or phetons I’m starting to think the Helios is a myth .
Honestly dude, 343 is a company, and if they want to rig the packs for more money, they can. I wouldn’t be surprised if they changed the pack odds in their favor, lol.
Idk, it’s been kinder to me than ever before, I get legendary boosts a lot more often as of late.

I’ve got all unlocks and haven’t noticed any difference, i usually wait and ‘buy’ 10 in one hit with RPs, i do think some of the legendaries are crazy rare, i’ve got one H scorp in the time i get 10 H wasps

Phaetons? More like faketons. Am I right guys? Right?
The only thing I almost never get is Phaetons… I wish they would bring back the Req Packs with Legendary items for 100,000 RP. You get bunch of them and then use sparingly…
Legendary items have super low drop rates. You’re going to see them extremely rarely no matter what you do.

random, random, random. The one thing that i have noticed (could be pure coincidence) is if you use a legendary and buy a gold pack after the match, you have about a 1/4 shot of getting it back. When i was pushing my phaeton kills, i was getting a lot more when using them consistantly
One of my gaming superstitions is to only buy gold packs after a winning match. It’s my feeling that I get better unlocks like legendary weapons and vehicles vs cosmetics like emblems.

I halfheartedly agree. Halo 5 is the first Halo to have BIG microtransactions. With Halo 4 they only had DLCs, and that were for some cool armor and helmets, and you new what you were getting, with Halo 5, they have much more microtransactions, and the RNG, which makes it harder to get good REQs. No other Halo had these microtransactions, and you needed to work hard to unlock things. In Halo 5, 343 got a bit money hungry, joke I saw was a guy spent $5,000 dollars on Gold packs to get Shinobi and didn’t get it. The RNG makes it very hard to get what you want, and means 343 can make more money off people who feed them the money. I’m ok with microtransactions, if they don’t buy RNG things, like for example, Titanfall 2, which you can buy skins and things like that. But you know for sure what you’re getting, and they have limited skins as well, which makes them exclusive, and again, you know what you are getting. These days there are so much more microtransactions for RNG and those who buy get addicted and basically are gambling, but it is worse because you guarunteed to not get your money back. 343 is not helping this problem.
Not gonna lie, I’ve actually gotten three Phaetons and two helioses in the last two weeks. Granted, I’ve had awful luck in real life in the last two weeks (two hospitalizations on different accounts) so maybe the gaming gods smiled upon me. Also, like I said I was injured and couldn’t go anywhere those times so I was sitting at home playing Halo…
