Who would love to see halo story expand out to include another galaxy like andromeda who knows where the last of the forerunners went
Probably wouldn’t find much of a Forerunner presence in another galaxy. The plan was to spread themselves thin and die out.

Now 5.
Anyway, we have played outside of the milky way galaxy remember? The ark is located outside of milky way and you can actually see milky way on the level “the ark”.
Milky way.
“Hey, check it out. In the sky. Is that-?”
There’s plenty of space left in the milky way. I’m pretty sure most of the events in the modern era take place in just the Orion Arm. There’s no point moving the story to another galaxy just for the sake of it.
Maybe eventually, could be an easy way to introduce new enemies. I feel like there’s still a lot to do in the milky way though.
Well the Covenant is said to be vast, could have us exploring that galaxy and instead of being targets, humans were welcomed into that covenant and fought against an enemy there. Or maybe the humans find out the enemy similar to humanity in the milky way and are the cause of a next schism?

You mean like alternative universe type of thing set on before the covenant fell? If thats the case im not sure if it would be that interesting given earlier Halo games were type of “survival against the odds” type of thing.
Surely it could be interesting to see what would humanity look like as part of the covenant, as in the armor and such. But fighting against a smaller in numbers, less technologically advanced species would just turn out bland rather quick.
Though it could happen in a way that great schism happens because herecy would spread faster after some discovery leading to similar schism before rings are activated. But then there could still be the prophets that had their reasons to exclude humanity in the first place. Seeing as the descendants of forerunners were so, devolved. In a lack of better word given there is no devolution, only evolution, intellect is simply 1 attribute that helps in a survival of species.
And im going to comment it again that the ark was outside of milky way galaxy, you could see the milky way on the sky in Halo 3 level “the ark”.
