So… most of us know that there’s only 23 days left until the release of Halo 4 (soon to be 22) and that there’s more than a few unsavory spoilers running around the net as of late. I was on Youtube this morning watching Reach montages as well as random Minecraft videos and came across- well, let’s just say it was a partial video of the ending of Halo 4, and not wanting to see it, I quickly closed the window. Personally, I’m enjoying the buildup until that long-awaited day and don’t want it ruined by gasp spoilers. Some people out there can’t wait another month, which is fine by me, but after finishing Halo 3 five years ago and patiently waiting for the next installment of the Chief’s story, I know I can wait a little bit longer for the mind-blowing awesomeness that 343 has created for us.
With that in mind, I think it’s time for my Spartan to lovingly stow her helmet and armor and enter cryo, so to speak, until the 6th. Maybe re-read a few Halo novels, play some other games and savor the anticipation. Anyone else in this same boat? Where the waiting is almost more enjoyable than actually having the game in your hands?
Too late for me…
I succumbed to the powers of youtube and my curiosity.

Yeah…I promised myself, that after I spoiled myself with Reach, that I would try my hardest to stay off youtube for Halo 4. But I’m a flawed individual…
But I’m still plenty excited for Halo 4. I just know I’m going to have a blast at the mid-night release. :]

must… resist… youtube…
Trust me, I think if I don’t avoid gaming websites and random halo videos I’ll probably go crazy and end up watching some of them. it’s for my own safety. steps into the cryo tube
I guess i am going partially dark. I feel the same way as you do OP. I am just gonna stay on these forums and just wait it out. I am plenty curious but i had Reach spoiled for me and i refuse to let that happen for Halo 4.
All ive done is watch the intro and see the main menu, nothing serious.
Something to wet my palette and get me pumped, but other than that im stayimg away from youtube and anh sketchy looking post.

Cant wait much longer but I must!
YOU CAN DO IT! All of you! It will be that much sweeter come November 6th when you can say you successfully stayed dark all the way until the end! You’re close!
Well after having H3 and Reach partially spoiled on the Bnet forums back in the day. I am determined this time to not fall for any more trickery. I am being very careful, but I think I will be quitting the forums very soon just to be safe.
Yeah im going dark on social media and YouTube might hang around the forums though
I try to go dark but its too hard
I was watching halo 4 game-play on YouTube, after the video went to look at comments and saw someone say the ending. I’m refusing to believe that the ending they said was real.

For me and my guys, for the time being we’re on Battlefield 3 and this really cool free game one of the Captains came across called ‘Happy Wars’. Give it a try if you have the time, it’s free to download and quite a lot of fun.
30 player games!
I’m still spoiler free, and keeping it that way.
If anyone ruins the campaign before I get to play it, I’m shoving a plasma grenade down their throat.
I know I’ll be able to pull it off!
Yesterday I watched an image of the physical discs…that’s all I’m allowing myself to do!
But definitely gonna stay on Waypoint forums, specially devouring Bulletins. Speaking of which: Can we have some info about the multiplayer Statistics we’ll be having for H4?
I just decided to spoil it to myself because I wouldn’t be able to play Halo 4 till 2 months after launch, we really sucks . I figured that the temptation and restlessness will eventually become too overwhelming . Two months… but still , 343i gets their money and I’m still excited for the rest of the game, let alone the reactions of others playing the game for the first time too.

Don’t feel bad… I looked at the first mission as well and let me just say, my mind was blown… It got me even more hyped for the game. Also, it didn’t particularly ruin anything, story-wise.
