The classic Halo games were my childhood…how about yours?
Them and Star Wars Battlefront II were my childhood.

all those star wars games were great
I got into Halo games pretty late (started on Halo Combat Evolved in 2009) but for me, Halo 3 and Reach was where it was at. I wasn’t able to live the glory days of Halo 2 on Xbox.
Thanks for the replies guys! My favorites have to be EVERY Halo game up to Reach. (Wow I’m such a fanboy, lol)
I have told this at least 5 times in these forums but here we go:
I started playing Halo as 8 years old (and ago), I played with my dad, brother and sister, game was Halo 3. Then Halo Reach came and I realized it was Halo too then I played it with my dad and brother sometime and we introduced it to my cousin.Still now I am playing with my brother and cousin, splits screen in Halo Reach and MCC.
But when I was a kid I didn’t only play on Xbox but in real life and imagined Halo things to everywhere (I still do think Halo ministories to where I am at the time), when I was cycling swim I thought I was Brute driving a Ghost and so on, they were good days as child.
Lego Batman on the PS2 was my childhood, didn’t start plaiying halo until Reach.
Yep same here, but now I’ve moved on to bethesda games because of what’s happened with halo now.

I was 11 when CE came out. Halo was my childhood. LAN parties, all nighters, tournaments, its all my friends and I ever talked about
Definitely! I was 11 or 12 when Combat Evolved came out on the Xbox, and it was one of the ways me and my brother were able to bond (though we did play other things together as well). I remember the time period between Halo 2 and Halo 3 was incredible, not just because of the hype around Halo, but other TV shows, movies, and video games that came out in that time. I wasn’t very good at playing multiplayer (I still attest that I’m not), but I loved the story and characters and the experiences of the campaign, and having fun to some degree online. So many memories…
Lol i started playing a year or two ago when i got my new pc and found out i needed to look for some low end games i found this and was amazed

I’ve been playing the Halo series since it blew up on the original Xbox. I didn’t have internet back then though so it was all campaign.
Halo 2 in 2008 as a 10 year old who sadly couldn’t get an xbox 360 were the days.
The earliest memories of Halo that I had were with Halo PC when I was 5 years old. However, considering I was the only one out of everyone that I knew who liked Halo, I wouldn’t call it a satisfying experience.

yep same here
it was late childhood for me Halo CE came out when i was in grade 8
Fricking Lego Star Wars. Then Halo Reach.
Yes, absolutely. Halo is more than a game to me, it’s a legacy and story that has actually added to culture and society. I remember when H2 was about to be released, there was like 3,000 people in Times Square, NYC going nuts outside of the stores waiting for midnight to hit; this type of stuff happened nationwide and became international news. I remember fans being interviewed and saying that this game got them into gaming and that it’s a part of their life now and not just a game.
No other game at that time and even still has ever affected people and the world like that.
Crazy times that I will never forget.
