seriously no one goes get the core and take the shotgun off or change the classes a bit
Umm wrong…thread I think.
Dunno who you’re playing with: people always go for the core when I’m playing. Occasionally it does get locked down by the defending team, but the majority of the time the Elites smash in there and it gets outside.
Nope, he’s in the right forum!
As for the topic at hand, I play against (and with) random people who go for the core all time! Albeit it’s a little uncoordinated, but they still push for the objective. As for the removal of the shotgun: You’d also have to remove the Energy Sword spawns for Elites, but it would help cut down on the camping. However, I’d also like to see a shotgun spawn closer to the core (like it does in Boneyard, right above the core).
actually it does spawn right were the sniper, rocket launcher and spartan laser spawn

Why? Elites need every advantage they can get in Invasion. Swords still can’t overcome the unbalance of trying to run into a base filled with 6 Spartans with DMRs, rockets, laser and snipe. Their weapons are pathetically under matched.
OT: Against a coordinated Spartan team in Invasion, and even with people going for the objective as OP says, the core should never leave the base in Phase 3. 6 Shotty-Armor Lock Spartans with rockets and a tank against Elites who have to run 8 miles to get there is a no-win scenario. It’s not as simple as just getting rid of the shotty loadout.
