Go back to halo 2/3

This is coming from someone who really doesn’t like where this is series going with Halo 5 at the moment (not that it can’t be fixed with enough feedback).

So assuming that this game comes out in the exact state that we’ve seen it in so far, with all the sprinting, abilities, ADS, etc cetera, and none of the fan’s feedback affected the game, why not go back to Halo 2 or 3? I mean, I want new graphics as much as the next guy, but those games were practically perfect in my opinion, so why not bask in that perfection (lol). Is there anything else that anyone could think of that would actually justify a new game being made? I mean, we don’t want a Halo 2 Super Mega Turbo Ultimate edition CoughSF4Cough

tldr: If the game flops lets do what melee fans did and just go back to the good game(s)

Sure. No one’s stopping you or anyone else from leaving if you don’t like the game. Everyone has their preferences. Just don’t remake the same game over and over again. It’s fine to fall back on old games if you don’t like the new. Though maybe it’s a little early to be talking about that.

They should go back a few more steps in video game evolution and make HG5 a Contra clone. Yep, that will appease the H2 crowd before they even realize that they want an even older school feel to Halo. Sorry but I’ve lived through 8-bit era and it wasn’t so great so let’s keep moving forward instead.

Also why isn’t there a go back to CE thread?

This was more geared towards people who don’t like the direction Halo is going in

And that thread doesn’t exist because that’s what everyone who liked that game did

I agree. I mean, people who feel like Halo 2 was perfect should play Halo 2. I happen to be more under that category, so I don’t understand why we don’t just do that. It’s exactly what smash bros melee fans did when brawl came out, and that game was even older by then, but look at it now, its one of the most played competative fighters out there.

Let’s face it guys. If halo was just halo 2 every game except graphic updates and one more gun, it would be as repetive and boring as cod nowdays
