which is a problem. You dont understand halo.
except it shouldnt be. Every halo game ever camping was bad. Now its good to stay in one spot right beside a door and when you take a shot to run away to another corner and hide. You are a halo 5 noob.
laned maps do not belong in halo. Hence why the game plays like dog crap. Why do you think any time you think you get a 1v1, you somehow in some way get shot in the back. It never fails. The map design is bad, it glaring obvious they didnt test it.
So, you dismiss everyone who disagrees with your opinion, who werenât even being rude, and dismiss them as being â343 apologists.â Then you rename the forum into something it isnât, moreso into something thatâs immature and selfish, and reedit your original post about camping in the same way⌠I donât know what else to say. Iâm just dumbfounded.
Laned maps have existed in Halo since Halo 2. Theyâre the most common type of Multiplayer Map in any game, the simplicity drives player movement forward. Some of the most popular maps in Halo are 3 lane maps. You obviously didnât read ANY of my responses in this thread.
Not to mention: Every map has lanes whether intentional or not, but there is a lot of science behind it too.
Most examples of âno laneâ maps are either wide open sniping fests or lopsided dumpster fires.
I donât think you have a solid understanding of map design. Nor the concept that a majority of matches are tight or at least not blowouts along with plenty of options, is an indication of good map design.
Youâre making a subjective hot take, not an objective review of things.
Which is also why I laugh when people call me an apologist, because I have all sorts of work experience from trades to upper corporate and I see a lot of knee-jerk reactions from people low on the totem pole
Nobody has even attempted to address the reasons Iâve stated I hate this map feature. Most people simply said it was easy to attack unfounded by any examples. Their points are flat out wrong too, as grenades can be hidden from and clambering up top will get you killed. Not one person has falsified my reasioning with due diligence. People can have opinions, but that doesnât make them right. Falsification requires more than just ânuh uh.â
Why bother talking to a dismissive audience? The answer to dismission is dismission, and thus, title change. If nobody is smart enough to tackle the ideas presented instead of just dismissing it or attacking me, then I donât want the notifications. My purpose in posting this wasnât to have a discussion, it was to give feedback and 343 can do whatever they want with it. Iâm too busy to keep responding to dumb trolls and human NPCs.
wrong. Camping and playing defensive is like call of duty
thats all they want here, is NPCs that praise them. Not much longer many of us voicing our concerns will be banned.
I am just commenting because you told us to go away. I read your original post and you were wrong anyway.
the map design is garbage. Point blank. Shoot a guy? hes escaped between one of the billions of hidey holes or has traversed to the other side of the map before you come around the corner.
This is cod map design, but âI donât think you have a solid understanding of map design. Nor the concept that a majority of matches are tight or at least not blowouts along with plenty of options, is an indication of good map design.â
Is actually incorrect. Every other halo to date youve been able to be a 1 man army. you cant here. No matter what. Youre always going to get shot in the back by the guy you just killed from across the map before you get shield back. That is not good map design.
provided nothing, cried to post and wanted validation. 99% of the people here praising the game, started with halo 5 and played the campaigns.
Opinions cannot be wrong by their nature.
that is an exploit dude. Being able to puppy guard with no reprecussions should not be a viable strat. It never was before, and only is now because of the generic mechanics all of you seem to want
Guarding the spawn point is certainly poor behavior outside of competitive settings, but it is not an exploit. Exploiting something is to take advantage of a bug or unintended behavior of the game such as glitching out of the map through a hole in the barrier.
Unless the spawn being a single location for flags and the oddball is a bug there is no exploit in guarding it. Itâs a mechanic of the game at that point.
Okay then let me attempt to tackle your questions and concerns in regards to the Towers design on Live Fire. The Tower is the back center of the map, and access can be gained through Top Mid, via the stairs or a times Repulser jump, or even an Oddball Jump(see SnipeDowns twiiter for this). Can be gained from the Field on the right side of the map via the ramp and crate jump. It can also be accessed via the stairs and back ramp from the left side of the map where B is. We have broken the tower into essentially 3 points of access, the front, the left side, and the right side. The back can be accessed by a repulser jump as well but you would have to come from the right or left side. As far as attacking opponents who are in the tower(weâll use a game of Oddball for example). Lets say that the Blue Team has the ball in Tower 2(the second level of the tower) well call this T2. Two Players are on the back ramp, which well call back tower, and 1 is on the lower level of the tower or Tower 1(T1). Pushing this team will require some team work, and cannot be done alone unless the user is literally the Master Chief. A push on the tower would look something like this, Nades thrown from grass on right side, these nades should be going T2 and 1 or 2 to back tower, while 1 player is pushing from mid to T1 to kill the lone player, if anyone is on the left side they should nade Back tower as well, or push with the player mid. If you have repulser it should be used to get to T2, where then because of the nades all players will be weak or running to get down to T1. They could also jump off down to the grass below T1, following would be the safe bet, as again, they should be weak. The worst case scenario is that they play the ball and toss if off the edge. Seeing as most of the enemy team should be dead from this team push, the next move would be to gain the ball at its spawn.
The tower is not a god spot, nor is it poorly balanced. It will just take some thought and planned aggression to regain control. This tower plays similarly to Big Tower on Ascension in Halo 2.
TLDR: You canât push tower alone if the other team controls it. Teamwork is key. The design isnât awful.
PS: I love talking about Map Design but please be civil, we all have opinions, I am not trying invalidate yours so please donât try to invalidate mine. I am simply trying to express play styles and my thoughts on map design.

Summary
Too late donât care sorry bout your luck. Again, I didnât post this for discussion but for feedback. Iâve never liked forums as the avenue for feedback. Just go away and leave me alone.
He changed the topic and has a very poorly written and completely useless text to accommodate it. It sounds like youâre just talking to someone whose never played halo, and simply is terrible at the game and trying to find anything to complain about why he sucks. You did outline 3 extremely basic ways of taking out the tower, I assume on live fire. There are even more ways, using grapple or repulsor you can add even more ways of flanking or attacking the person up there. Plus rockets, Sniper, Skewer, OS or AC this dude just sucks horrendous donkey butt at halo and should never be given the light of day. OPs opinion does not matter and means nothing. Youâre too smart for him lol
Very childish. If you donât intend on having a discussion then you shouldnât be posting in the first place
No we wonât leave you alone. Welcome to the internet ya dumb dumb. You posted a forum for feedback but there is a ticket system for feedback. This is a FORUM a DISCUSSION BOARD. Youâre very childish and come off as an imbecile. Definetly blocking you on my xbox so Iâll never have to play with you lol learn to communicate properly and appropriately and maybe people will listen. You suck butt
