This would be like 24v24 or 32v32… would have massive vehicles, like mammoths, elephants, vultures, war sphinx, scarabs, pelicans, spirits, phantoms, grizzly tanks, wolverines…
I still think those vehicles would be too big to all fit on one map, but i think 24v24 sounds very possible for next gen BTB. One can only hope.
I was hoping that something like that would replace BTB. I want Halo 5 to revolve around some arenas(Slayer, SWAT), a single Forge world(General forging, create Social playlist maps, regular slayer maps), just a couple mid-sized maps(Just for a couple things like SWAT and CTF), and some gigantic maps that would become the new BTB(Heavies, Dominion, CTF).
Some vehicles sound a bit big, but I like the idea. Since you’re already calling it “Global Team Battle”, why not have you fight for your country and that way one can look at which country is currently winning the battle for Global dominance.
I would like if Halo’s player limit remained at 16. The development of maps would be severely impacted if the decision were made to increase this limit by 50 or 100%. It would also be a burden on the game’s performance as well.
Big Team Battle does need some innovation though, mostly in the vehicle and gametype department. The lack of new vehicles in Halo 4 is absolutely astounding, as the only new “vehicle” I can recall is the Mantis, which is a mech. I completely agree with the “giga-vehicles” though, as I’m really hoping to see Scarabs and War Sphinxes in multiplayer, as well as Halo Wars vehicles that were closer to my heart, like the Vulture and Grizzlies.

Because we don’t need to listen to thousands of teenagers screaming “MURICA!” every game.
