Here is my question. Why are you not banning or booting ppl that are cheating in the championship? Can you not see the lag switch kills and turbo fire? Where are the finals going to be at? It will be funny when the final two ppl go to a place where they cant cheat and suck at their game play and you have to reward the cheater with 200k. You might look into this and maybe if needed I can upload some videos so you can see for yourself whats really up.

343i will thoroughly investigate all weekly finalists before announcing any winners. Any cheaters will also be caught by them and -Yoink!- gaming.

Only 4 people go through and the rest of the ranking after that don’t matter. Its not going to be hard investigating 4 people.
I struggle to believe that THAT much cheating is going on though.
Pretty pointless to cheat considering 343 will check you out and besides even If you did make it through cheating there is no way anyone will get the 200k lets be honest Snipedown will most likely win the 200k with the rest of the top 8 being top name pros/former pros/ffa kids.
look at number 1 on the leaderboard. most of his games end up being 25 to 10 not one is close and 66 games in row without a lose is kinda crazy and highly unlikely to be done legit.
If its done legit then bravo to him but i honestly look at the odds and its unlikely that it is the case but hey who knows

Funny thing is I just had this exact problem with about 5 different people in 5 different championship games.
The main one that sticks to mind is a gamertag called “REMOVED” who was using a sniper rifle, not one shot at me was on target, all the shots were about 5-10 feet behind me in the sitrep (aka Killcam).
I think 343 should scrap the whole idea, giving a large amount of money away to people who will happily put 5-10k into cheating equipment (lag switches, turbo controllers etc etc) is just asking for trouble, hopefully the final winner will have a serious background check done on him/her before the money is handed over.
Or else all that money is going to go straight into the pockets of cheating obsessed losers who couldn’t win a fair game if their life depended on it.
Ok Rant over, back to kill some more people.
if the cheaters some how make it to LAN they will be wrecked, so it doesnt matter

That is because the kill cams are completely inaccurate. That person is not a cheater and calling anyone out, cheater or not, is against the rules.
EDIT: HAAAA just read the bit where you say that some people will happily sink 5-10K into “cheating equipment” - what a joke, you are nothing but a sore loser.

I Thought i was booted/Lagged out of a couple games and that gave me some 0’s. but now i am thinking my 3 games i had to quit went to the games i lagged/booted from becasue i cant find them in my game history when i saw them yesterday …

Chances are you’re dealing with lag, not cheaters.
Also, this Championship encompasses players from all over the world. Some of these players are so skilled, you couldn’t even comprehend their skill. They’re probably just very, very good.
Cheaters will be removed from the leader boards and won’t make it to the finals in Seattle. I wouldn’t worry about it.

unfortunatly these type of Championship games do bring out cheaters/boosters, but even thoughI tend to agree with you, I would say it’s about 90% Lag, 7% Lag/possible cheating of some type and the remaining 3% is cheaters of some type.
you can only hope they do go over the stats and other info of potential winners and disqualify/Ban any cheaters they may find.

I don’t really play a lot of Halo, so I didn’t expect to stand a chance anyway, but I personally find this entire tournament layout as a joke. I’d much rather see teams facing off, than have Free-For-All battles. I got stuck in a game where 4 people disconnected, and not 1 of the other 3 people were willing to leave their corner of the map because they wanted to win so badly. That’s not a tournament, that’s a joke. Sorry if I hurt anyone’s feelings, but if a company is going to be giving away $200,000 and more, I would think it’d have a better way of doing so.
