I’m hoping that a variation of Bungie’s cut “Global Battle” will be featured in Halo 4 as a new game-mode.

Wouldn’t that be an amazing edition? A large-scale battle such as that would be an awesome thing for the series, if implemented correctly.
It could definitely be in campaign, but only a few of those may actually make it to multiplayer.

I’m focusing on the Global Battle portion, but Space Battles would be welcome as well!
Thats what the Halo games were always supposed to be, huge battles on a epic scale. The problem is they never achieved any thing like that on any on the games. Even when the hyped adds would make you think thats what the game would be like. I would guess the hard ware has never been powerful enough to do it. Xbox next needs to get here asap.

Yep. It’d be great if we could see this in Halo 4, but it, most likely, won’t happen, though I wish it would. I’m expecting to see something like this in Halo 5, if it is on a new Xbox. The 360 is outdated now.

The concept of Global battle was to make a campaign experience where you feel like your in a huge battle. Online would cause too much lag I think and would really distract from gameplay. Halo doesn’t need bells and whistles to be fun.

I like that a lot of people say there will be a lag and stuff if they do something like this… I’m sure 343i would figure something out to make it not so lagging. I would like it if halo 4 would be like this!
I’m thinking that Halo 4 will set the tone of the new series, start up the plot threads, introduce the characters. The global battle and the other 2 great ideas at Bungie’s PAX panel - the desert hog army and the epic space war - will most likely be in Halo 5, which is (almost certainly) going to be an Xbox Next launch title and so will benefit from vastly increased hardware specs.
