Global Army Upgrades Should Be Better Represented

You can now see the veterancy level of enemy units, instead of just your own, allowing you to react accordingly in a fight, such as knowing which hunter/ranger is from shipmasters spirit support. I think the global army (infantry level 1, etc.) upgrades might as well deserve the same treatment for the same reason you can see enemy veterancy.
Also, the hp bars can often be unrepresentable of what upgrade the unit is at; either the hp bars stay the same between certain upgrade levels, such as wolverines and cyclops between upgrade 2 and 3, or they dont move until a certain level, such as the reaver when at level 2. Sometimes there’s too much hp bars to even guess the upgrade, such as a thick hide marauder. A suggestion to know info on the upgrade is to have a Roman numeral representing the upgrade when you click on an enemy unit.

Any thoughts on this being nice to have? Or do you believe this to be something we can live without.

Yes, I think global upgrades should be indicated with UI visuals or if not, with visible changes to the units as the upgrade happens (which is somewhat in place already).
