I opened the game and it was windowed, so I changed it back to full screen and saved the changes. Now it won’t let me click on the actual game, it spazzes out and minimizes any time I try to click on it. So I can’t change any settings in-game or even click on anything inside MCC. Any idea how to fix it?
Does this issue persist after doing a reboot of your computer?
Also, what does your current setup look like? Do you have multiple monitors? And which version of MCC are you using (Steam/Microsoft Store)?

It does persist, and I have a 2020 gaming laptop. Not positive the specs but it runs MCC at around 120 FPS, so it’s not the specs that are bad. Also, I’m running it off of steam with the latest update.
I would recommend submitting a ticket over on the support page as this issue isn’t listed as a current known issue and it will help to bring it to the developer’s attention.
As for helping you get back to gaming on MCC, there’s a couple things I can think of that might help temporarily resolve this issue.
Verify Integrity of MCC Steam Files:
-
Close MCC. - Click Library in Steam. - Right click Halo: Master Chief Collection and select Properties. - Select Local Files tab. - Select Verify Integrity of Game Files.
Force-Change Config Setting: -
Close MCC. - Navigate to C:\Users[Your User Name Here]\AppData\LocalLow\MCC\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor - Open GameUserSettings.ini with notepad. - Search for “FullscreenMode=” (without the quotes. Tip: CTRL+F allows you to quickly search the notepad document) - Change the number after “FullscreenMode=” to 2 (this is windowed mode) - Relaunch MCC and you should now be back in windowed mode and can hopefully fix your settings.
