Glitched Xbox Forge

So, I’m forging a map on Halo 5, Xbox one, and about an hour or so in I notice everything I place, is invisible. Everything I had placed in the past was fine, but walls, props, natural, EVERYTHING is invisible once I place them and I can’t see where I’m placing. I thought they might be somewhere where I just can’t see, but I went in an open area, and still happens. All I can see is the X axis, Y axis, and Z axis movement things. Restarting my halo and Xbox didn’t work. Could I get some help to fix this?

A few questions:

  • When you hold down the left trigger (default controls) the yellow square with the coordinates marker on it, where does this appear to be? - Do the invisible items have hit boundaries, i.e. can you stand on them, assuming you know where they should be? - When you place them do you notice the budgets increasing for all categories (if add a script does that script show up and work; you could add a sound script)? - If you launch the map in custom games do the objects show up at all? - Are you having the described problems specifically on this map?

1: right in front of me, like where the object should be, but there’s just nothing where the object should appear
2: yes, I am able to stand on, interact with, etc.
3: it does increase the categories
4: Yes, they appear in customs, but for vehicles, when I get in they turn invisible. Then I’m invisible permanently and getting in other vehicles also breaks them
5: Yes, only this certain map

(Also, sorry if I’m not replying correctly, using quote, this is my first time using forums! Sorry!)

This is a very strange bug. I’ve never experienced anything like it. Unfortunately, I can’t think of any ways to solve your problem, and it sounds like your map is corrupted.

Best thing I can think of to do (unless anyone else steps in with a solution) is to report your problem (with the hyperlink to the thread we are in) on the official Halo 5 bug report thread, and hope for a fix in a future update. Though I can’t seem to find the thread for you (monitors could you provide a link please). There is also a Halo 5: Forge bug report you can post in as well: https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/forums/e6fa08a8e3e54e1280e4650ddffa03ef/topics/halo-5-forge-–-official-bug-report-thread/7b5873c4-795e-4eaa-8e8b-881e036012f2/posts. Additionally there are several report areas on Reddit but I don’t know how well those get checked by 343.
Also, you could Tweet Tom French (Head of Forge) on Twitter and inform him of your problem, he generally replies. @pardontomfrench

In the mean time, you could group all your past working objects into a welded prefab, noting down the coordinates, then place this in a new canvas.
