Sure we won’t ever get a hover board, but as for a glider in Halo its still quite possible. I read an article about it and I am surprised to have ever even known about it. I would love to see this in Halo.

Glider: while in free fall this item drastically decreases descent speed while increasing forward movement speed

I think a Jetpack would be much faster and more maneuverable than a glider. A glider would just be unnecessary, would you have to carry it around with you where ever you go? Or would it be built into your armor? In both cases, it would most likely just look stupid.

A small back pack placed on your back hardly compares to a a big glider that the spartan would use. And it would have to be a big glider in order to support the heavy armor the spartans use. I don’t understand how it would be better. Everything about it seems impractical and void of all use. Everything a glider does a jetpack can do, and then some. You can’t just have spartans running around holding giant gliders.

It wouldnt let some -Yoink!- fly high into the sky and get the final headshot on me when im in cover…it wouldnt let people abuse spots that non-jetters cant…its more of a personal opinion rather than a " it would work better"

Jetpacks can’t race, but a glider can.

Well a glider WOULD let you abuse spots that non-gliders could get to. I just don’t see why in the year, 2552, (with technological advances such as jetpacks and active camouflage) we would use a glider, which we would personally have to carry around with us. Instead of carrying weapons, nope let’s all just carry around hang gliders just because it looks “cool”
