Glasslands Reviews (No Spoilers please)

Hey guys, waiting for my copy of Glasslands to arrive, and so far have heard mixed reviews of the book. Just wondering what you all think of it.
Is it good? If not, why? Is it worth buying?
Thanks for reading, gonna be interesting to see what you all think.
*No spoilers please.

It was my favorite book so far. Whenever I read books there is always parts where i think, “okay get this part over, let’s just move on…” But in this book I never thought that. I enjoyed it the whole way through. I thought the portrayal of the post world universe was accurate.

The only thing I didn’t like was that the ending had like no closure; It was left completely open, and sure, there is 2 more books in the trilogy but nothing really got solved.

I am definitely glad I bought it.

I liked it a lot. I think there are some valid criticism of it, even if I consider most of it to be off-mark. Yeah, there’s not a lot of “THINGS EXPLODE”-type action, but if you’re interested in some good writing and interesting characters (you know, what people give genre fiction a hard time about never having) it’s a fast read. In many ways it’s similar to “Contact Harvest” in thematic and character-related ways, although Traviss is a bit of a better writer (or at least novelist) than Staten (not that surprising, considering it was Staten’s first job.)

It is a big open-ended finale, but that’s because this is a much more serialized work than any Halo series before; Cryptum and Glasslands seem to be setting new narrative trends.

On Amazon US shoppers can get a glossy trade paperback for around $11. It’s worth a buy.

I throughly enjoyed my own read through the novel. Every time I thought something was being settled for good, there was that new twist that changed everything. I cant even make myself be a -Yoink- to spoil any of this yet.

Also if Amazon is selling for 11 bucks, yall getting ripped. I only paid 8 for my paperback.

Finished it just then.

Quite good. Is it part of a trilogy? The ending left a lot to be desired…

Most definitely. All I will say about the end of the book, for those that dont have their copy or reached the end yet, is that the last couple chapters were hooks that dig in deep to make sure you be more than excited for the next novel to drop.

Glad to hear you guys enjoy it, thanks for writing what you think. Can’t wait until my copy arrives

Just this second finish. Absolutely loved it and can’t wait for the next. Just wish I re-read Ghosts before I started Glasslands to refresh me on what had happened.
One question. When is the next part being released? Will I have to wait a year like with ‘The Forerunner Saga’?

The release date of the other books in the series is unkown, but I would say the next one to be released before HAlo 4 comes out, my guess possibly Summer.

Good book and I loved it, Karen Traviss, left a lot of loose ends that will be explained in the next novel and will most likely play a part in Halo 4 when comes out next year.

If your also interested I made an analysis and predictions on this postingabout the next book and the future.
