If you turn to the first page of Chapter 8, where Parangosky is interrogating Halsey, look at the location. It says "UNSC IVANHOFF RESEARCH STATION, ORBITING INSTALLATION 03: MARCH 2553. Could they have found another Halo ring?
Also, what do you think the hardware on the Infitiny is? Spartan 4’s? A lot of hInts, but no new hard information.
There is no doubt they had discovered another ring. Who knows why or what they found on it. I hope the ONI isn’t sick enough to try and tame Flood to weaponize it (if flood are quarantined there like on 04 and 05).

I am actually curious about this. When I read it, I couldn’t quite understand if the meant it was “Orbiting Instillation” #3, or if the station was orbiting “Instillation 03” (as in a Halo Ring)
Didn’t seem further clarified, but I’m in an info-induced Halo stupor right now trying to process it all, lol.

Wow, good point. It definitely could be that to. It would definitely be a flawed word choice, seeing as the ties the word “instillation” has in the Halo Universe. If they did find a new ring, that could definitely give ONI a lot of terrible, terrible options to explore.
I feel pretty bad for Halsey, she was the one who ended the war, yet it seems the real villains go unpunished, such as Parangosky. She feels guilt, yet Parangosky could care less. Is she the real villain here?

Halsey is the most human betwen Parangosky and Halsey.
By my family’s experience, it’s better to have a body than this, where is she? Where is he? Will we ever find?
Replacing them with clones was a good moral action.
I hope Halsey manages to do something.
