Title says it all. When Marty scored Halo 2, he purposely gave Delta Halo its own gregarian chant with a different Melody than the traditional theme. For reference the chant appears in the tracks Delta Halo Suite, and Sacred Icon Suite on the Halo 2 vol. 2 OST.
He did this because in his mind the chant specifically symbolized Alpha Halo. And the other Halos would have their own unique themes with the same feel. In Halo 4 I was kind of disappointed when the traditional chant was used for the reveal of Gamma Halo, as it was a missed opportunity. I don’t want to see Infinite make the same mistake.
So, as a message to whoever is scoring Halo Infinite: when we first see Zeta Halo on our screens in all of its glory, please have a brand new gregarian chant to accompany it.
